Jordan Catalano said: Yeah this whole “haters” thing will never not be ridiculous. Love a show all you want, but understand and accept your opinion is not the only one.
I'm not sure how many times (at least my) definition of "haters" needs to be clarified, but many are missing the point. Here it is again:
The people I am referring to had MORE than a negative reaction to the show. I am not criticizing those with valid comments. I

The people I am referring to had more than a negative reaction to the show. I am not criticizing those with valid comments. It's the ones who spewed hate for the sake of it, the ones who clearly had an agenda, almost wanting the show to fail. Those people "lose" because the show is well-received.
The haters for this show on this board were out of control. I went to the show looking for many of the issues they pointed out and found that some of them didn't even exist.
I am SO happy that the reviews are proving to be positive, which is what I think Jagged Little Pill deserves.
There is constructive criticism, and then there are bitchy underhanded, totally untrue hate filled comments that filled this board for months, completely unhelpful for a show in pr

I bought a ticket through Telecharge a couple days ago for 13th December for almost $400, which was the only seat left for the dates I’m in New York. Today I went on there again and there are at least 7-8 new seats for other dates for roughly half the price. Both my ticket and these new tickets are for premium seating. Telecharge has a no refund policy. Can I do anything about it?
Inception said: As for The Inheritance, I think the whole play is pretty vapid. I've only read it, & that was enough for me because it is all so shallow that it was obviously based on second hand knowledge. The author has never been to any of those parties, has never had a boyfriend hooked on meth, has never dealt with a wacked out callboy.
It's been mentioned a thousand times, on here. How can you judge a production wi
I am absolutely SHOCKED by the people on this thread who loved this. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you, I'm just finding it difficult to believe.
You can dissect the subject matter and themes all you want, but if a show isn't entertaining, it doesn't matter what points are being made. A fan of the movie and the music, I was genuinely SO excited to see this. I will go so far as to say I expected it to be great - at the very least, a fun and entertaining sho
No change was "needed to be made". The producers love her and so does the cast. She's also opened to excellent reviews. She's going to something else which will be announced soon.
I am so glad you brought up the smarminess of Steven Reineke. The first time I went to a pops concert that he conducted, I felt exactly that way about his conduct. He treats the audience like they are on a tour at Universal Studios and know zero about musicals. Even if the song is from something like a Les Miserables or Oklahoma, he introduces it like its from a very obscure piece - but not to worry, he's there to tell us that Bring Him Home is from Les Miserables and that it was a w
For those of you who have already been to the show, a seating question.
I like to sit very close for all shows. How close can I get without craning my neck or missing anything on stage for this specific production/set/staging? Since I'm getting ready to book my seat, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I called Ticketmaster when this happened to me. They asked me which single I wanted and put the other seats in the row on hold, which freed up the single for me to purchase. It was very easy and they were very accommodating.
Does anyone know how these new seats will effect those of us who purchased seats in the front orchestra? I really hope that my view isn't blocked by these tables, even though I bought them when they first went on sale, they still weren't cheap.
Would appreciate any one who is familiar with the set up to let me know.
Thanks.

Note to Hadestown Producers (and publicists): Not the best idea to announce you're releasing a cast album on June 7, get the entire fan base looking forward to that date, only to suddenly, and three days before, change the plan completely and decide to announce it in drops and drabs through till the end of July.
I'm not sure what they think they will achieve by doing this, but I'm not buying the quote from Anais Mitchell on why.
I completely agree with you, everyone should go see THE PROM. I saw it just after it opened, and when I came back to NYC a month later for work, I went back to see it again.
Don't listen to the haters who for some reason have the inability to just go have a good time. Not every musical is meant to be dissected and critiqued like the latest Sondheim. Sometimes you just need to go have fun and be entertained.
If you are a lover of musicals, don't miss this. Eve
Can someone please let me know how CASEY COTT was? (He played Tommy) He stars on Riverdale and doesn't usually do musical theatre (unlike his brother Corey) so I'm curious, and no one has commented about him yet.
like you, many people have been calling Adam Driver's performance, among other things, sexy. I know they are talking about his acting, but physically, does he where any sexy costumes, or show any skin onstage etc? asking for a friend.
If you read what people are saying about him throughout the thread, the negativity in many cases surpasses people just not liking his performance. If it was just constructive criticism of a performance, I wouldn't have used the word hater, nor would I have brought it up. Sorry I didn't communicate my point well enough, hope that helps to clarify where I was coming from.
"I compared him to Damon because I prefer Damon's voice, like 50by25, I hated that weird falsetto thing he kept doing... Reeve also plays the role in such a weird creepy way. I could not understand at all how Eurydice is supposed to fall in love with him so quickly. With Damon however, there was more sex appeal there."
Again, you're entitled to your opinion but i strongly disagree that he plays the role in "such a weird creepy way". I don't know
