It would make sense given the working relationship they have with the Young Vic
Speaking of transfers from across the pond, I would not be surprised if Network with Bryan Cranston takes the Newman stage in the late summer/early fall
also, what is the status of the new Sondheim show that has been workshoped at The Public?
I don't see it until the end of the month, and my expectations (bassed on the level of talent involved) are sky high. For those lucky enough to catch it early, Should I read the short story before or after seeing the production?
I am looking to read a thriller meant fro the stage. I am also looking for a play about the holiday season. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I have been a big fan of Ms. Morisseau since Skeleton Crew and am eagerly anticipating what is to come from her Signature residency. Early thoughts are appreciated as always!

The new Lynn Nottage play starts at The Public tonight. Anyone know why there is zero buzz on this? I would think a new work from a playwright of Nottage's stature would begin previews with more anticipation. Atleast the premise sounds intriguing....
This season, two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage returns to The Public with a new drama as moving and incisive as her Broadway debut play Sweat, heralded by&nbs
First preview is tonight and I am really looking forward to checking out this original musical over the weekend. Early reviews are appreciated as always!
Indie-music duo The Bengsons spin a memory-tale of teenaged passion, ideals lived to the limits, family shattered and faith lost — all in hope of finding a way home again. Through soulful electro-folk songs, this driving, semi-autobiographical story grabs joy and grief with the same hand and holds them
PS they have just released some discounted seats to the first couple of Lucky Ones previews that were listed as sold out over the past few weeks code is TAKEMYHAND for 50% off
wanted to bump this thread because it is a huge week for Off-Broadway musicals!
The Lucky Ones begin at Are Nova tomorrow, Miss You Like Hell begins at The Public on Tuesday. Honestly, I could not be more excited
THE LUCKY ONES (* I don't know if Sonya Tayhe has choreographed for theatre before, but I am a HUGE fan of her work and can't wait to see what she comes up with)

I totally agree about problems with audience members and dont think the problem is going anywhere (bring from home snacks, feet on the seats, talk with friends in the isle and then go to seat in the middle of the row when the lights go down and the show starts, over-clapping/oooing, fidgeting) some people genuinely don't see the difference between a movie theatre and a Broadway house. Also, the theatre isn't doing much to help the situation with their new In-Seat service scheme
