Isn't her husband also touring the country with another show? Kind of makes sense for the two of them to be on the road at the same time!
Not sure where they are in casting process, but I'd love to see Chelsea Emma Franko as Elsa. She has been playing Elsa in Frozen Live at the Hyperion at Disneyland for several years (except for when she took a year off to tourthe US as the Elphaba standby). She's got the voice and experience.
She's 47, and your point? Carmen was 45 during Bright Star she and convincingly played a teenager. Sara is almost 40, should that stop her from playing Jenna?
Saw it in Reno last month. Audience was crazy, now granted it was all older people who were reliving their youth, so that was entertaining to watch.
The music was great, definitely enjoyed the band, however it was poorly mixed...could have just been the venue. I probably would have enjoyed it more had this not been my first real introduction to Janis (with the exception of the 2 or 3 songs of hers I know).
Was it fun? Yes. Will I go out of my way to see it
