Little Shop holds a special place in my heart, It's the show that seems to pop up at important moments of my life, but... pass on this cast recording. I'd MAYBE reconsider if Gideon was on it.
I can't help but laugh and roll my eyes when a performer is vehemently against bootlegs but then posts bootlegs of themselves. Leslie Marghertia a few months back posted a video of her in Matilda as a #tbt, someone called her out on it and she basically just shrugged, not recognizing the irony of it all.
What I love about this trailer is that it is showing that it is an unapologetic musical movie. I feel like a lot of previous musical trailers they minimize the music in the trailers or we don't see anyone singing. From the get go it is letting the audience know what they're in for.

Caught the movie last night. While it has some flaws, I was captivated. A couple of times I had to remind myself I was watching Renee Zellweger and not Judy.
I think it's important to always listen to the unheard voices, and in this case it is the trans community. I've listened, I've sat with it, I've played out scenarios in my head, I've talked about it, and unfortunately, I still am unsure what is transphobic about Tootsie. I haven't seen it in New York, I caught early previews in Chicago, but I don't remember there being comments about genitals in the show. What I took away from the show is that we need to step
