This is a common problem with Jukebox musicals. You have plenty of theater goers (I'm sure many first-timers) who feel the need to sing-along. I remember it became a problem for Bat Out Of Hell in London they had signs posted all around asking people to please not sing along until the encore. In fact, they would have special "sing-along" performances in which fans knew it was okay to sing-along.

Love it. Brightman is playing to the fans and the social network he (and the cast) have worked really hard to build up. Despite luke warm reviews and everyone giving it an early death sentence, BJ has defied odds to become relevant. Great for BJ. Great for Brightman. And if you don't like it, I'm sure Beetlejuice really doesn't give a damn.

I love the show. I've seen it twice so far and just bought tix for the final performance. But I am very surprised it has made it this long. Kudos to the cast. They have been all over the place promoting it since the beginning. And word of mouth is really strong with this one. But if you are going to go out, this isn't the worst way to do it. Six months of shows to see. And let's hope they film it! I would love to see it get the Spongebob treatment. As for how it is touring with such an e

Beetlejuice is awesome!! Enjoy the show!!
Will row A be too close and un-enjoyable? Nov 8

I sat Row B which I felt was perfect. But I am sure Row A is great too. Do not underestimate the comments on Groff's spitting. It can be quite overwhelming if you are not prepared. You are guaranteed to be hit by his spit in Row A Center. If you think this will bother you, I would avoid these seats at all costs.

I'm going Beetlejuice. I've seen both and am seeing Beetlejuice again in a couple of weeks. While Mean Girls may be the better show, Beetlejuice is way more fun and an experience.

There's not going to be a NY cast recording. Hopefully Lena Hall will release her own EP.

Yes Will was good, but I'm kind of pissed off I missed Andrew. Not that it is his fault, but I don't live in NYC, and I really wanted to see Andrew with Christina. Oh well...

Perhaps FUN Hot Mess is a fair description. Or Bombastic Rock Opera. The actors take everything extremely seriously, and to be honest with you that adds to the fun. People seeing the show the first time will have no idea what hit them. But the vocal performances, songs and atmosphere will linger with you. The show is a lot of fun and I still highly recommend it if you are into this sort of thing. Critics be damned. If not, stay away and let the rest of us enjoy it.

I agree that Act 2 drags a bit compared to Act 1. Act 1 is just more exciting and it is a long show. Act 2 though really shows off the vocal power of some of the stars. Some really great ballads in there. As for the cast, I think the entire cast including e
SouthernCakes said: "Honestly was surprised having now seen the show that he’s already called out. He has a ton of off stage time and I thought the main girl had a much more difficult role vocally but maybe Andrew brings more to the role than the understudy we saw.
According to cast members it wasn’t a planned call out. "
I am shocked Christina is doing every show (or trying to). Yes I would argue her role is just as difficult. Whil

Merchandise basically identical except a NY specific poster. Infact the professional programs (a great deal for $10) are the London ones with the London cast. They do give everyone a free Obsidean Times which has the NY cast in it.
SmoothLover said: "From what I have heard, fans of the music seem to enjoy the production and the sophisticated theatre types are more critical of the production values. There is a general sense that the show is about 20 minutes too long. There has also been a fan base that has seen multiple productions so they are making comparisons. My friend who works at City Center says there has been some walk outs with people grumbling while other patrons just love it. "
SouthernCakes said: "To those who have seen it before, what is the center circular platform used for? It looks like it’s a lift, but it’s never used and not sure why it would be there if wasn’t being used. Same for a large hook hangin from the lighting rig?
I didn’t think the motorcycle sequence worked at all. There was no sense of movement and the thing just folds apart and I had no clue it was blowing up.
Just got out of the Sunday PM show. Unfortunately, Andrew was out (I had a feeling this might happen with so many shows), but there is really nothing you can do to avoid this (until they publish a schedule). The backup was very good, but I can't help wishing I saw Andrew.
As for the rest of the cast, Christina Bennington is just simply amazing. I saw her in London, and I think she has gotten even better! And this without the regular Strat! Her voice is magnificent and her
