I was at Marie's Crisis with friends a few weeks ago and the piano player was a dick. After we put money in the jar and asked for Rent, he said, "we do the screamier songs after my break. We have to warm up our vocals first". Then, he said he needed a shot before he played anything from Rent and asked my sister if she knew that there were musicals written before 1994. After that, we decided to request the most annoying Broadway piano songs that we could t
Hi! I live in Seattle and saw the Hamilton tour last night. It was brilliant, powerful, and lived up to all the hype. I would love to go back. Does anyone know if Seattle has a cancellation line?
I saw On Your Feet on Broadway and I didn't enjoy it. I thought that while all the actors were working hard and were amazing dancers, I wasn't engaged with the story. For me, a fantastic musical has an interesting story that is seamlessly told by designers, direction, music, dancing, and acting. On Your Feet had the dancing and not much else.
I'm excited! I renewed yesterday. The only show I definitely don't want to see if On Your Feet. I can't wait for School of Rock, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Color Purple.
The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle will include the touring productions of Fun Home and The Little Mermaid. It will also include a new production of Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, which is most likely a Broadway tryout. We also get to see Murder for Two, The Pajama Game, The Secret Garden, and Man of LaMancha.
The Gander Beacon reports that Come From Away might come next fall. If that's true, would Come From Away possibly try to come to Broadway in the 2016-17 season?
Tonight I saw a preview of Come From Away at the Seattle Repertory Theatre and it was wonderful! The direction, music and story were cohesive and moving. It contained a Broadway caliber cast including Jenn Colella and Chad Kimball. The quality of the cast and the show made me wonder if it is in the works for a Broadway transfer. Has anyone heard anything about it or know more about the show?
My friends and I are going as the Sun (in the sky), Father (godfather), and Holy Ghost. As the Holy Ghost, I am going to be the Phantom of the Opera, my favorite ghost, with holes in me.
Hi! Does anyone have an old, metal, Rent dog tag? They said "no day but today" on one side. I had one for a long time when I was younger, but it broke and I lost it and would love another. Does anyone still make them?
I saw her tonight and she was awesome! I've had a crush on her for 20 years and have seen her in venues large and small, and was happily surprised by how many tickets she was able to sell. Idina's fan base consists of women of all ages, teenagers, little girls, and gay men. She was sassy, fun, and seemed to be completely herself. She connected with the audience and I loved it that when she finally sang Let it Go, she invited all the kids in the audience up on stag
That's so exciting! I've been second guessing my decision to buy tickets to Seattle's Broadway Across America season. This definitely sweetens the pot.

I am going to NYC this summer with my dad who I have a somewhat tumultuous relationship with. We are going to Something Rotten, A Curious Incident, and Aladdin, and are looking for a fourth show. I am a somewhat closeted bisexual, and don't like to talk to my dad about anything serious ever. Fun Home looks great. Do you think Fun Home would be too much to see with my dad? How serious is it?

The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle announced their season last night, including the tours of both Matilda and A Gentlemen's Guide to Love and Murder. I was happily surprised to hear that they are doing a Seattle based production of The Sound of Music as well as five other local shows.
