i love the fact that they are taking more things from the broadway musical for this version. it sounds so promising. the casting needs to be perfect for this. i am very excited for the rest of the cast.

i’m a little iffy about this remake. cause the original movie is such a masterpiece and it’s so iconic and it’s in my top 3 films of all time. it would be weird to see a remake imo. but if they are gonna do a remake, they need to make this right. and there was brown face and white actors playing hispanic in the original film and i love that steven wanted a puerto rican cast for this remake. 15-25 are the ages for the actors and actresses. hmmm that is a tough one. cause naya rivera would have be

Jennifer Hudson is an incredibly talented performer. She did a fantastic job as motormouth. Maybelle is meant to be the perfect confluence of Hairspray's two themes: the struggle for civil rights and fat acceptance. I enjoyed it but it had major flaws. Acting wise it was great. Jennifer hudson was outstanding. She was the best part about the show. Link could have been better singing wise. Ariana did a great job. Little inez was great, seaweed was great. Derek did a great job. Maddie was a great tracy. And harvey did a great job as edna. He was much better than john travolta. Kristen chenoweth was amazing as velma and dove was great. Production wise it was great. The sets were really cool also.
I just listened to big blonde and beautiful and i know where i've been. jennifer sounds absolutely phenomenal. she has such an incredible singing voice it gives me chills everytime. i was in tears listening to i know where i've been. once you listen to it, you will be speechless. those numbers will definitely be highlights of the show.
Based on what i have seen from the promo, this looks great. i hope they really do pad up jennifer hudson tho because motormouth maybelle is supposed to be a big woman and jennifer is slim thick. i love the costumes and the sets and the casting is great
I just saw an interview with harvey fierstein and he said that the madison was removed. Ladies choice will be in it's place. i am so bummed. and i saw the soundtrack list and the big dollhouse is not included. i am so pissed off. i was really hoping they would be in this production
