This has always desperately needed a Rose's Turn at the end for Norma, if they add anything I also hope it's a rewrite of the final scene.
It was added when the work was first staged (that is, the original broadway production) because they realized Mary Magdalene basically disappeared during act 2 and she was too big of a character, in case anyone wanted to know the reasons.
I have never been able to find any comments or statements by Leonard Bernstein about Andrew Lloyd Webber and I always been curious about his opinions on him so I just wanted to know if anyone was better informed than me.
Considering Lenny was usually verbal about his opinions, and comments can be found not only about Sondheim and Rodgers and Hammerstein but even The Beatles and popular music I think it would be natural to expect a reaction from him on

Does any cast recording contain dialogues or information that help you know what's going on? Thanks for the help and I apolo
This was uploaded few months ago and I stumbled upon it by chance. In it ALW adresses several topics like plagiarism and I think it is quite interesting because it contains old footage so I'm posting it here just in case someone's interested. I just wish I could understand what they say when they start playing the piano.
There are a lot of books out there about orchestration and arranging, but I have not been able to find any specialized on the special challenges and requirements of orchestrating a musical. Can any of you recommend one?. I also apologize if I made any mistake, English is not my mother tongue.
