Closing night the producer said that they hoped to transfer the show to Broadway at some point and remake the movie.
One of the writers on twitter said they were adding new songs. I’ll try to find the tweet.

Heathers is making its West End debut this summer. Apparently they have added new songs. Could they still be attempting to bring this show to Broadway?

petition to rename Booth Theater after Lin Manuel miranda Mar 21

The theatre is named after Edward Booth not John Wilkes Booth. So no there is not a theatre named after an assassin on Broadway. Plus if they were going to rename a theatre it wouldn’t be after Lin Manuel Miranda. Yes he is incredible and his works will live on but he is in the middle of his career. He still has many more shows ahead of him. Lots of more deserving people out there at the moment.
Dear Evan Hansen Nominated for an Emmy Mar 21

The article says Ben Platt and the cast of Dear Evan Hansen. And your right, only Ben Platt and RBJ would be 3/4 of the way. No idea where my mind went.
If they win this award the entire cast will be 2/4 of the way to an EGOT. Has this ever happened to a show before, where the entire cast wins this many awards?
*Edit I now realize only RBJ and Ben Platt would be 3/4 of the way to an EGOT but that’s still pretty impressive
I am working on a project for a college course that I'm taking where we have to run our own theatre company. One part of the project is to plan out the budget for one season. We are supposed to think of all parts of the theatre and try to figure out where to make money to keep the theatre in the black. As part of the budget I am trying to figure out how much money is spent buying the projects for concessions and how much money is made off of it. I have read through
1. The movie is visually stunning. It was absolutely beautiful and I think they did an incredible job with it. 2. The movie was too short and focused on too many things. There wasn’t enough struggle in Barnum getting his circus up and running. I would have liked to see more focus on that. 3. The score was incredible. I personally loved the all songs and genuinely hope This is Me is nom
Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 12/10/17 Dec 12

OOTI made 69% of its gross potential this week. It’s doing fine, and probably well above the red. It can’t be that expensive of a show to run.
Way to early 2018 Tony Awards predictions! Dec 8

I assume Frozens score will be eligible, a ton of new material is in place in the show, plus they don’t use all of the music from the movie. I believe 7 out of the 20ish songs in the musical are also in the movie.

I wouldn’t be surprised in The Greatest Showman gets adapted for Broadway and Jackman leads the production
