Anybody going to see Ben Crawford in Phantom tonight?  Apr 16 2018, 10:35:20 PM

Jay joining the show is fantastic news and casting! I wonder how long he plans to stay? I'd like to make it out to see him

Best experience you've had at a show?  Feb 7 2018, 12:39:49 PM
From the moment that I walked into the Imperial Theatre last March, the game had been changed for me on so many different levels.

The Great Comet just blew up whatever definition of theatre that I had in my mind.

What source material would never work as a musical?  Dec 18 2017, 09:57:28 PM
Its not really fair to say that something would never work as a musical. It all depends on how it would be framed during the show. Some of the most unconventional topics from 9/11 to War and Peace to the Wife of an Argentinian President have been covered.

Some topics may of course be trickier to musicalize, but never work would be a stretch.

Are Box Seats Underrated?  Sep 29 2017, 11:48:22 PM

jonah3500 said: "Then why are normal obstructed view seats sold online and not only at the box office?"

Because they're selling the "box" seats at the "box" office :)

THE GREAT COMET Announces September Broadway Closing; Final Performers for Role of 'Pierre'  Aug 8 2017, 08:24:08 PM

Ok but how cool would it be if they set up 360° cameras at various spaces in the theatre and filmed it that way? It could help capture the originality and immersive aspect of the production

BREAKING: Mandy Patinkin Withdraws from THE GREAT COMET  Jul 28 2017, 06:50:40 PM

Does anyone think the producers could beg Philippa Soo to come back for a short stint to keep it afloat?

Great Comet TKTS  Jul 12 2017, 06:29:15 PM

In May I got a pair of seats on stage on the banquettes for 80 bucks each

Hercules is the next Disney show!!!!  Jul 9 2017, 05:49:38 PM

Also with the D23 expo coming up, they could potentially announce something there

best songs in come from away?  Jun 13 2017, 10:23:55 PM

My favorite overall segment is from "On the Edge" until "Screech in"

Overrated Musicals Of The Last Ten Years  May 27 2017, 08:36:00 AM

So are these all overrated shows, or just shows that you all don't like? The title Overrated would probably fall onto something like the revival of Cats or Paramour for example. They both keep (or kept) chugging along, but they were both mediocre. Then again, overrated is subjective.

Your Favorite Elphaba?  May 17 2017, 07:08:46 PM

Willemijn Verkaik was a fantastic Elphaba

This Season's Performances You Consider Underrated  Apr 28 2017, 10:09:06 PM

Does any one have any thoughts as to why McClean isn't being as recognized for a possible nomination? Is her part not show enough?

When I saw the show, she stood out a lot more than Amber Gray to me. They were all fantastic, I just didn't really connect with Helene

I agree with this wholeheartedly! McClean was mesmerizing for the whole show. She could switch from being the fun aunt to being stone cold as Marya. I really wish she got more recognition because she is giving this show her

SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION Reviews  Apr 25 2017, 10:00:16 PM

I was also there tonight and I didn't know anything about the show going in. Janney was fantastic as usual and I could see her slide into the Best Actress Category. The kids were also a standout for me, they brought the house down. And I actually did like the set, I think it worked well with the type of show that this is. Definitely not for everyone, but I would recommend it.

David Malloy or Josh Groban?  Apr 23 2017, 11:57:52 PM

Does anyone know what other days Groban is scheduled to be out before he leaves the show?

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 4/16/17  Apr 17 2017, 06:56:02 PM

The Book of Mormon pales in comparison to some of the top grossers this week. It's still doing fine, but it's funny to see it so far out of the top 5. And to see it below phantom :)

Pacific Overtures previews  Apr 7 2017, 07:15:09 PM

Would anyone say that this production has a chance of transferring next season?

Favorited filmed staged productions?  Apr 7 2017, 01:20:17 PM

At this point, I feel like every filmed production is being listed. Are there any sub-par or below average recordings?

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Previews  Apr 3 2017, 08:49:52 PM

I guess they really wanted to strike home the feeling of Pure Imagination when people were seeing the show

Covers of the 2016-2017 Season  Mar 26 2017, 04:52:05 PM
