Hmmm....well that’d also rule out the Ali guess. Might AJC be coming back to the tour?
Has anyone burned through so much goodwill this quickly before? I was blown away by Cynthia last year, but her awful attitude and patronizing anyone who dares question her has left such a bad taste in my mouth. What a shame.
This was my 6th time seeing the show, the previous 5 being in Chicago with that original cast. It was hard not to compare the two, because in my option the Original Chicago Cast is about as good as it gets, but all I really enjoyed this production.
Joshua Henry as Burr...just perfection in the role. Not much else to say. If you have a chance to see this either here or in LA with him in it, GO!!
No doubt. It's been almost a year since I saw it for the first time (and went another 4), and her performance still sticks with me. One for the ages for sure.
I saw both shows Christmas weekend. I enjoyed Great Comet, but loved Dear Evan Hansen. Comet was fun if just for the sheer innovation of the show. But, like others have said, DEH just struck a chord with me.
Wow!! Great casting. Joshua is sensational as Burr, and Emmy is an ensemble standout. (who might I add was a killer Elphaba standby on the Wicked tour). Excited for both of them.
After seeing it twice this weekend, I can echo what others have said. This cast is really fantastic. Dare I say I enjoyed the voices more than the recording?
Highlights:
- Joshua Henry as Burr. Really phenomenal, his Wait for It and Room Where It Happens was out of this world. Just lets the role consume him.
-Miguel Cervantes as Hamilton. Great singing voice. Really enhances the music (if comparing to the recording)
