A few friends and I saw the workshop of this last summer. We have spent the last year wondering if we were nuts to think this was a complete and utter disaster. I remember driving home to the city after and going over every jaw-droppingly inane choice made throughout the show. We were stunned that Stephen ****ing Trask could have been behind this mess.

I saw the workshop of this a year ago upstate and it was...problematic, to say the least. And as you might guess from my profile pic I’m inclined to like anything Trask does. I’m seeing the matinee tomorrow but curious to hear any thoughts from tonight.

Boys in the band had them on Thursday night. They initially gave out the regular ones but when I saw some pride ones in the usher’s stack he happily traded me.

No opening night Playbills tonight. Other than Ryan Murphy hovering in the back, there was nothing to indicate it was opening night at all.
