Rush tickets for The Play That Goes Wrong are easy to get. BOM is my favorite, so if it's on your kids' list and you're willing to try the lottery and/or do standing room, I definitely recommend it. You might also be able to get $69 or $79 tickets if you'd rather have the guarantee. I also second The Band's Visit and Sweeney Todd. Puffs is also very funny and appears on TDF a lot
The first song I thought of was "My New Philosophy" from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. It's not particularly dance-heavy, but it sounds like it could show off her voice and personality.
The first two that came to my mind are Kate Monster in Avenue Q and Portia in Something Rotten! I have a long list of dream roles, but those two probably fit my type the most.
I was at the first preview of Groundhog Day. I'm sure those details have been discussed a lot on these boards, but everyone involved handled it really well (although I'm sure they were freaking out on the inside). The way the cast got so into doing the show concert style and their ability to laugh through it made me love the show more, and it's definitely one of my favorite show memories.
I will also be at the final performance and would love to meet some fellow BWW-ers if possible. I'll be wearing my "That's right, woodchuck chuckers" shirt, holding my groundhog, and most likely crying. Feel free to say hi...or to avoid my emotions at all costs.
Two young men with almost nothing in common must team up and travel far away to help people in need. Despite the hardships, deceit, and even violence, they both have their faith restored in ways neither of them would have ever expected.
The past three times I've seen this show, Jordan Grubb has gone on, and he was playing different roles each time. I'm truly impressed with his ability to play so many parts, and I look forward to supporting him in future projects. I'm going to miss the show so much.
(All swings impress me, of course. Jordan just happens to be the one I've seen the most often, in any show.)
The first time I met him, I was with a friend who was celebrating a birthday. When I told him this, he grabbed my phone and recorded a video of himself singing to her. Since then I've met him a few times, and he's always been extremely nice. He really goes above and beyond.
