No it's fine that other people don't like DEH, but I happen to find CFA to be an appallingly terrible show and it would be absolutely hilarious if it won Best Musical.
The writing is incredibly disappointing. I still think that a prequel would have made better subject matter and that a better playwright could have made it a truly great play to match a truly great production.

^Yeah they don't make much, but it's still really irritating that I can't add songs from any of their albums to my playlists. I also happen to find their albums to be kind of flat, lifeless, and sterile, but that's a whole different conversation.

Personally, I think Lena Hall would be beautiful as Therese. It would be different from a lot of the other roles that she's played, but I think she'd be great.
Broadwayrox, I agree with what you're saying, but Froote has been particularly relentless with their DEH hate. There's nothing wrong with not enjoying a show, but you shouldn't go out of your way to try to put people down for enjoying it.
I'm tired of your persistent hatred of DEH. If you don't like it, fine, but let those who do like it, like it without feeling like we're being ridiculous for doing so.
I think that Grey Gardens, Far From Heaven, and War Paint are all spectacular. I love to see them do Carol as a musical (with Kelli O'Hara or Laura Benanti please) and maybe It's A Wonderful Life. I look forward to whatever they produce in the future.
DEH winning would not be a farce of epic proportions. It was the best reviewed musical of the year and is by far the most financially successful. You're allowed to not like the show, but let's not forget the facts. DEH is the hot new musical and it winning should not be particularly shocking or ridiculous.
