Are Playbills environmentally friendly? Aug 21

Honestly, I don’t like the concept of everything in the world going digital. Physical Playbills are a nice souvenir for people to have after seeing a show, and if theatres want to make a difference for the environment, then they can either reuse discarded Playbills for the next performance or find a way to recycle them if the quality went down after all the wrinkling up and moving around of a typical audience member. But no, putting EVERYTHING on some sort of digital cloud just sounds awful, imo

No, when I saw the topic, the first thing I thought of is the fact that a lot of shows seem to be closing, not the shootings. I won’t be called ignorant for not connecting dots that aren’t actually there.

Trying to connect this hashtag to the mass shooting is a reach, guys. Come on.

Dude, just ignore the Twitter stans and enjoy what you like. Life's too short to worry about how random usernames on the Internet are trying to dictate what you can or can't spend your money on.
Are we nearly at the end of an era for our great musical divas? Aug 8

I'm sure a new crop of fresh and talented young divas will make their way onto the scene in the coming years. Maybe we're just in a transitioning period between eras at the moment.

Dance of the Vampires revival with a proper script/translation of the original German lyrics, with a lusciously grand and gothic set/costumes.

How did Phantom lose Best Score?? Jul 31

Into the Woods is overrated, but speaking as someone who loves Phantom, I'll say I can see why it didn't win Best Score, given that it IS basically the same six tunes repeated over and over again.

It's not like they would even have to do THAT much work on them. Just add some kitty noses, whiskers, and tufts of hair around the faces, and the designs would be much better.

I don't know...I'm not speaking from a place of wanting this movie to be bad or fail, because Cats is one of my favorite musicals, but the general online reaction to this trailer has been horrendous, and the like/dislike ratio on the trailer's YouTube upload is almost 50/50. It'll be interesting to see what the critics say about it when the movie is released.

What I absolutely HATE about this trailer is that there was potential there. They didn't just slap something together, and you can tell, because the sets, the lighting, the music all look and sound colorful and fun and good. The choreography looks like it'll be a joy to watch. But the design of the cats is just...it's ruining the rest of it. (Although Old Deuteronomy, Gus, and Grizabella all don't look that bad, probably because they all have that fur sticking from the sides of their faces that

Hello, Phantom, Les Mis (West End) Old Shows, Chicago (Broadway) definitely not a good show."
I HAVE to laugh at this ice cold take.

I'm venturing to say that ALW has probably given up on this ever making it to Broadway by now. I think the tour sold fine, but it wasn't a smashing success, and from what I understand, the tour was meant to be a sort of "trial run" to see if the show could ever do well on Broadway. I'll be shocked if they ever announce it.
