It’s very strange that they cut “Times Are Hard For Dreamers” since it was the most promoted and central song in the Broadway run. I’m also thought it was pretty catchy and fitted where it was placed.
I went this past Wednesday 3/6 after I got out of a matinee to see if they had any SRO or rush. Was able to get SRO 12 for $39 at around 4:30 for the night show. View was completely unobstructed. But bring a jack if you are any of the even number SRO, you are by the entrance and it was freezing before the show as everyone entered the theatre. Also the box office attendant said that, unlike what is written on the Playbill.com Rush info page, they do not offer $29 rush tickets for the
Cyndawg said: "This was a good show (from what I heard and read) that deserved a longer run. I did have one question. Many folks on here said the design was brilliant and it was nothing like they have ever seen before. But, can someone tell me how the design and or direction differed from the Godspell Revival. If I watch clips from both shows, it almost seems like the same director touched both shows (though I know that it is not true). By the way I have not seen either show to the f
Yea, Top Girls is her best work in my opinion. Cloud Nine is a good follow-up. If you want to get into her weirder stuff check out The Skriker, one of my personl favs.
How early do people recommend getting there? Last year I showed up like 10mins before the designated start time, yet all the tables were already crowded beyond capacity. I guess the tables don't wait till the start time on the website?
I also hope they close 44th and 45th street like they used to a few years ago. It is impossibly crowded having everyone stuck on just the sidewalk.
Also I'm curious on people's opinions on something. Obviously this is a charity event, and that many stars take the time to meet with fans at the autograph table. However if you see a star walking around, just casually, is it inappropriate to ask for a picture? I remember freaking out bc I saw Andrew Keenan-Bolger just hanging around and really wanted to ask for a picture, but I felt it was the wrong time, especially how you donate to get access to the autograph tables. What are
I am on the lookout for a Newsies hoodie, Prince of Broadway Windowcard, playbills from the original run of Angels in America, and a bunch of cheap cast recordings. I'm also hoping with Spongebob closing o the 16th thre might be some fun things, whether cheap merch or stuff from the stage.
Not sure if there has been a more recent post about this but looking into buying some tickets from tdf before it closes. Any reports on how seat selection has been? Thanks!
Really just Denise Gough and Ethan Slater. I have this slight curiosity if an actor's previous fame (more so on television and film) 'enhances' our perception of their performance. While both Tony Shaloub and Laurie Metcalf are giving splendid performances, I really thought they felt like the expected "let's give a celebrity an award", a la Catherine Zeta-Jones a few years ago with A Little Night Music.
I studied abroad for a semester 2 years ago and saw 40 shows in 3 months. Tickets are soooooo much cheaper there, especially when you look into day/rush tickets. Obviously you should prioritize shows that are exclusively there, but if there's a Broadway show that you've been dying to see, you'll see it cheaper in London. Lotteries are also much less popular. I won the Book of Mormon lottery pretty easily, since only 15ish people showed up. I say the major theatre companies worth s
I really do not like any of the three final posters. I really did like the preliminary one with the building turning into his arm; its creative, sleek, and unexpected. But all three of the final posters, particularly the middle and right one, are so boringly obvious. Rather then making me curious about what it will be like onstage, it makes me want to just save my money and watch the movie at home. Nothing draws me in on how this will be any different, let alone 'improved', as a
I'm still going to watch bc I find the cast is very talented and most of the storylines outside of the Spring Awakening rehearsals interesting. However, the whole rehearsal process is so fake and unrealisitic. This last episode with Lou going straight into a full run on the first day of tech is ludicrous. Like how did this man with 0% experience even find his way to the auditorium? It is crazy to watch.
Hi! I'm seeing Frozen in a couple weeks for my mom's birthday and was curious about the merchandise. I've seen a lot of pics of things like shirts, keychains, dolls, etc. But I'm curious what prices have been. Hope someone can help!
