I'm going to say this. I tried to watch the Tony awards. First thing I want to say....great job James Corden. I was pretty sure I was not going to like you hosting, but boy was I wrong! Great job!! Ok...second, downer.....I work for SWA, and yes one of our girls was shot and in CC due the the ****ing ass hole in Orlando. Prayers please. And I suppose my point is this...I think most people don't know who won a Tony, no one knows who won the
Once again, trying to keep hope alive.....it seems to me, a majority of tickets sold to shows when touring, are sold to season ticket holders. So wouldn't that kind of force an audience?
Not opposing your view. Just being hopeful. Is there any comparison between Bridges of Madison County and American Psycho regarding closing dates and then a tour? Granted, I do understand Bridges won Tony for best music. I was just trying to keep hopeful idea afloat! I do see where you are coming from though.
Any thoughts or rumors? I know so many people I work with (work for airline, so it's people from everywhere!) and who live in Nashville that were really hoping to see this show during the summer in NYC. I understand a tour would not happen until the 17-18 season. Possible? Reactions?
Very interesting! I will continue to read this and what cities do what. Not a huge question ringing in many ears, but I find the answer, well, like I said....interesting.
Thanks for all the imput. Always kind of blows my mind how everything comes together for a show. More power to those of you who do it for a living! Let me buy you a drink or four! I can't imagine all the scheduling that goes on.
I've decided to add A Girl Before to my original list. Musically, it seems a little out of context with most of the other songs. However, it really makes a nice statement a couple of songs after At The End Of An Island/Hardboy Hamptons. Mellows things down a bit before we get to This Is Not An Exit. Looking back, I'm liking all the high energy songs closely together, and then towards end, the songs become a bit more relaxing and mello
Thanks. I've noticed here in Nashville the musicians are always really good, but honestly, you would kind of expect that here. Your answer makes even more sense! Thanks for the reply.
This will be a very simple question for someone to answer. Just got back from seeing If/Then in Nashville. I've asked myself this question many times, but have never asked anyone....does the orchestra tour with them or are they local musicians from each city? Thanks!
I've been reflecting on shows since you posted this. Somehow, I end up loving all shows, that most people don't like. (Other then A Chorus Line). As I think back, these come to mind as ones I really liked. (Keep in mind, these will not be popular opinion).
Sad this show has ended. I'm listening to the London recording right now and was wondering what songs other fans classify as their favorites. I love the opening (morning routine). My favorite songs would be (in no order) Cards, Hardbody, Not A Common Man, Killing Spree and This Is Not An Exit. What are your favorites?
