I'm not certain that they have been offering rush- I think it is sold out often but I could be wrong. Lottery would probably be a better use of your time.
It almost seems like what people really want to see is a live concert vs a musical. I wonder how many who watched last night actually knew that this was a Broadway show. With today's attention spans, it really seems like NBC has to steer towards material that is high energy, mostly music without a lot of book, and most importantly-something that can be cast with pop stars/celebrities
I honestly loved the front row of the balcony. I was nervous about being too far away/high but it was a perfect view for Frozen especially to take in all the effects. There were kids in the front row with me and I heard no complaints about not being able to see. And of course there are the booster seats as mentioned
Why don't we change the thread title to something else. It seems a little mean to single out someone and encourage a Love/Hate forum. This is time to be kind!
For rush- I would think either would be doable but Carousel for sure would be the easiest to get.
Lottery: I think Sweeney would be the best chance especially if you are playing for one. Mean Girls/My Fair Lady digital lottery are probably unlikely due to popularity. Same with in person for Mean Girls. Not sure about Lobby Hero.
I always wonder this too. Really I wonder about the digital lotteries in general- are they actually legit? Don't get me wrong, I have won many (including Hamilton) but I still wonder how it actually all goes down. Including what happens when people don't claim tickets- has anyone gotten an offer after the deadline? I know TodayTix does it but curious about the others
If you are a fan of Frozen and/or Disney, you will like it. The reviews of every Disney show are never stellar. I personally think this is one of their better productions.
If you are not really into Disney/Frozen, I would say pass and check out Three Tall Women!
I really do think this is one of the top Disney on Broadway shows. The design, direction, and performances were very cohesive as opposed to some of their past work. It looked and had the spirit of the film but also brought some new layers. I really love the opening too, musically speaking. My one main "issue" is that lately the shows have yet to really produce new music that is just as catchy as the original film songs.
I personally didn't walk away ever thinking about Renee Fleming. It's not that she isn't talented but she just really didn't do anything for me in this part. I would choose Mendez- she seemed to be having the most fun and sort of put her individual mark on the role.
