Unbelievable event at Mean Girls last night. Tee Boyich performed as Janis Sarkisian, a role she DOES NOT COVER, with 4 hours of rehearsal time. Pay attention to her, she's going to be huge.
I saw the show in La Jolla, can't wait to go back tonight. I hate that I love it so much. Get a cheap ticket, have a ton of booze, and just forget everything else. That's the point.....
Today is a most auspicious occasion where champagne will flow and bells will toll marking the end of a dark time. May we all look back at February 15 as a day of great joy throughout the land.
Apparently the PBS broadcast of INDECENT was censored? I didn't see it so I'm not sure what was cut, anyone know?
A) Seems INSANE for them to censor it given the subject matter, and B) I never noticed anything even close to risque enough by today's standards to warrant censorship (unless they're censoring lesbians in which case we have a much bigger problem on our hands).
Spongebob last night: Mezz AA 13-15, perfect seats though we missed the foley guy under the house left box which would have been kind of fun to see (though not a part of the show). LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it.
Theatre looked sold out too, not sure how much was papered, but audience seemed to love it.
Figured I would start this since people are already snapping up the tickets and might have similar issues!
Due to the March issue, I got two tickets (Balcony E 116-117 in the $80 price band) for 8/16 and 8/17 (Thurs and Fri consecutive nights) but would have loved to see it closer to my birthday in late March. Anyone interested in a trade?
Posting update: got Balcony E 116-117 for 8/16 and 8/17 for $80/ticket ($90.50 with all fees).
Many performances were "locked" and I was unable to even try to purchase tickets, prices were not displayed or live. Took lots of searching and every combination of $20 and $40 were sold out. Glad to have gotten anything!
