Autotune on a BROADWAY (well, in essence, Broadway) cast album? JESUS!

I would have thought so too, but they clearly were. There was even some smoke and sparks that came out, so I am pretty certain they were blanks.
Edit: Anyone else see the show yet to confirm this or correct if those were blanks?&quo

Maybe it's because I had not seen a professional production of it before, but I assumed they would use recording. A wonderful production, but anyone who needs to know that, be wary."
Are you sure that they're blanks? To my knowledge, most productions use snare drum cracks for the gun sound.
Thanks for the all of the information, everyone. As someone who has been using the discount codes for decades, I wasn't sure if there were more options/strategies.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn't it safe to say that January - Early March is the slowest season for Broadway?
With that in mind, I‘d like to check out a show or 2, during that time, since I work in midtown.
So, I looked at a few shows for the final week of January, just for the heck of it. I noticed 2 things: prices seemed to be the same that they’ve always been & shows seemed only 20-30% sold.
I think Book Of Mormon is a recording. (I haven't seen the show, but I saw the website for a venue that hosted the touring version & it said something about a taped sound gunshot effect. Plus, I've seen a bootleg of the show & let's just say there is a un

Great to finally have a somewhat definitive account of Book Of Mormon.
Also, not to be like a broken record...but is it true there is at least one gunshot moment in Tina? -- Blank or recording? --- When does it happen?
Now that Tina is off and running... is it true that there is at least 1 gunshot moment in it? Does it sound like an actual blank or a recorded sample? (I heard something about Ike shooting at Tina through a window.)
Also, for those who are asking about Book Of Mormon, while I have yet to see the show, I believe that it's a recorded gunshot that happens about 45 minutes into the 1st act. (I've done my own research & seen a bootleg video.)
As someone who grew up a theater geek, changed focus to rock music in high school & now is starting to embrace theater, again, this is RIGHT up my alley.
I, actually, was just recently digging into the Tommy album in a way I hadn't before. I, no joke, found myself saying, "This is just like modern day internet celebrities".

Did you have trouble seeing any of the show? I, actually, have a ticket 2 seats over (seat 6) for early January. I bought it because I didn't want to spend too much...but, I&
I was gonna go to the box office tomorrow & get a “cheaper” seat, on the side. However, I couldn’t believe how quickly the tickets were flying & just grabbed one on Telecharge in row J, 3 rows in from the aisle (2 from the wall).
Am I, likely, gonna miss some of the action, being so far over, or is it true that there are not really any bad, obstructed view seats in the theater?
I usually avoid getting seats so far over & look int
(Think about it! A con man enters a very straigh-laced, traditonal scenario. While the con man is, eventually, revealed to be a fraud, everyone quickly realizes that his outsider/non-traditional ways had a positive impact on the people.)
This fall I plan on seeing Beautiful & & Rock Of ages.
If I go to either the box office, when it opens, are they able to tell me where the available rush seats are, before I buy one? I'd be willing to spend an extra $20-30 (with a discount code) to get a full view, IF the rush seats are partial view. If rush seats are better, I'd take one of those.
Would I be likely successful in getting such info/assistance at the box office?
