Pasek and Paul - no clue about stage projects but they have two live-action films (Snow White remake and Evan Hansen adaptation) to write for, as well as two animated films (The Planets and Medusa).

That's a bit of a stretch. The baking in Sweeney Todd is about the disposal of evidence."

1. But exactly where does Lightning fit in with this? All BMC fans will automatically be Lightning fans?

I wouldn’t be surprised. There were some cast members (pretty sure it was Sarah and James) who weren’t signed on for the final few shows, so their understudies were promoted to leads. When I heard the Broadway rumor that was a big factor in my mind.

That makes a lot of sense since Broadway Licensing seems pretty tight with them on Instagram. I’m only speculating but I’m inclined to believe there’s already a plan set up over there to license

Other than that, I thought every other new score on broadway this season was a total dud. Off-Broadway was an embarrassment of riches though, with Rags Parkland Sings The Songs of the Future, Octet, We Are The Tigers, Shaina Taub’s Twelfth Night, and Secret Life of a Bees

If Lightning Thief gets announced like we’re 99.9% certain it will within the next couple days, what do you all think it will get?
I’m gonna say Best Score for sure since there’s so few originals (and it’s a pretty good score), but I really can’t think of anything else given the weak direction and low-budget design. Acting I can’t say I have a lot of faith in either. So if it does show up, I see it going the Be More Chill route, maybe with some more success thanks to the source material

Haha now I want an awkward father-son reunion between LT Luke and Hadestown Hermes.

Yeah so they’ve got a series of cryptic tweets (one of which references Hadestown as a (number) neighbor), a website that isn’t up yet, and they’ve just unveiled a new logo.

I believe they're using the "number neighbor" meme to imply that Hadestown is about to be their theater neighbor, which would confirm the transferto the Longacre. Supposedly."

– Longacre
– Lyceum (A Christmas Carolrumored to be going here)
– Sondheim (available starting in November)"

At Kiss Me Kate I had the chance to tell Corbin Bleu how much of an impact he had on my childhood. It just depends on the person. If it’s someone you look up to, I’m sure they’d be thrilled to hear you say a nice little thing like that. If not, they’d appreciate a “good job” all the same!

He sings quite a bit actually! Jenna certainly gets most of the solos and the others either go to female characters or a couple choice non-doctorate guys, but Pomatter gets his time to shine in “It Only Takes a Taste” and “Bad Idea” (al

I strongly disagree. We’ve seen musicals of movies, books, shows, comics, andcartoons. Why draw the line at video games? Especially when said video game is probably the most well known and beloved series in the entire genre. If the Spongebob Squarepants musical has proven anything, it’s that with the right amount of talent and genuine pass

The 1920s show Good News has a plot that revolves almost entirely around the actions of the character of Tom Marlowe, yet in the 90s version he only sings twice. Both of those instances are duets, and he is involved in none of the group numbers.
