Wicked - 15th Anniversary Sep 22

I highly doubt that theyd make a new cast recording. They would do one only if it was a different big production like a "Wicked in concert" or something like that.
I saw it during previews on May 11th. This is what I wrote on my instagram: "5/5 I felt like I just saw a new Rent. Such an important show. Loved it! The music was really good too. "Hillary Clinton's" 11 o'clock number "Democracy" is going to be my new favorite showtune. WOW. Blown away!!!!"
"Soft Power" new pl-usical (play with a musical) the ending was so powerful.
"Wicked" musical that got me into theatre. Sad and lonely time in my life. When Elphaba sings Defying Gravity. And talks about "and no one in all of Oz will bring me down". Shes gone through so much for being different. I used to sob as a young closeted gay.
"Kinky Boots" when they sing, I'm Not My Father's Son. Speaks directly to me. Also when Lola

I remember opening night of Hamilton here in LA. I went up to Lin and told him how great the show was and if i could get a quick autograph. (There was no one around him) he didn't make eye contact and said "i dont have time for this" and walked away. Really awkward and my theatre heart broke. I know I wasnt intitled to anything (not even a "thank you" for my complement or "enjoy the show"), but his attitude was so mean. I really saw him in such a great light. Made me think, theres no cameras aro
I never got to experience the original company, but I saw all a list of all the past shows with their broadway star casts and so jealous! I hope they continue casting broadway leading actors. Either way it's exciting to be seeing old broadway musical gems. <3
I really want to know when individual tickets will go on sale.
Pretty great season overall. Not too excited about Charlie but that's it. There's a lot of gaps of time in between shows so we will probably get bonus shows of Beautiful, Wicked, or Book of Mormon maybe.
San Diego and Segerstrom usually make up the Pantages season from past season history. It will be a great season. I'm just not to excited to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at all.
My excitement level for this show is a 1 out of 10. Saw Motown twice and it had no production quality EFFORT, in my opinion. I hope it is way different than Motown. I only mention Motown the musical since The Temptations were featured in it.
Okay: Mamma Mia, Rock of Ages, We Will Rock You, Disney's On the Record
Worst: Motown

I got to see Emmy twice and her understudy once (sorry dont know her name/dont have the playbill with me at the moment/she was great), I was expecting Emmy to BELT her ass off but in both the times I saw her in it (including LA opening night), she just sang it "okay"... nothing impressive. I did hear her voice on youtube first and damn was i impressed (from san Francisco) but she never came close to that when i saw her. Also i know no one "has to stage door" but she literally never stage doored
I saw it last week. It's a "different type of musical" but basically its a play with music. In the talk back Tyne said that its not a broadway showtune singing.. more like a normal widowed wife who is singing along to her lps in the attic. The story was okay.. very medicore. Tyne was on stage the entire act (only one act long). She does give an amazing performance that makes you cry & laugh. I could see this play transfer off-broadway at the very most. I gave it a 3.5 out of
