I think the play has its pluses and minuses, but I liked it. And I like Stephen Karam and the cast a lot. So this is great news. Part of the whole effect of the play is the set - the mood that the play creates in the whole environment. I'm sure they have plans in mind, but it will be very interesting to see how they translate this element of the play to the screen where you can't "feel" the set like you can in the play.
Thank you for purchasing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets in our presale this week. We know that some of you experienced delays and issues with the ticketing process, and we would like to apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience and dedication. We can’t wait to welcome you to our West Coast home in San Francisco. See you at the Curran!
I agree with you Fosse76. I live in LA. My schedule's not as flexible, and I didn't want to jump into the March 14 release pool. But I finally got mid-balcony for Saturday, Feb 1, 2020 (that seems like an eon away). I'm going back to work Best of luck to everyone. It's very helpful to be able to share here.
I'm still playing roulette. Clocking over 2 hours since I got into the waiting room and about an hour since I got onto the ticket sales pages. I'm going for the lower price levels cause I already paid premium in New York. And nothing's come up in the 5 dates I've already picked. Maybe should try for 2 nights in a row instead of one day. I have to get back to work so I'm not sure I'm going to get anything.
Spinning... spinning... spinning. Each date I pick says no seats and then it respins for minutes! The site says it's picking available dates at the price levels I've picked...and then it says nothing's available and I have to go through the spin cycle again! And my sense is that there are a limited number of presale tickets or a lot of people are vying for those price levels at the same time. Lucky I saw this in New York too.
I've been an Ahmanson subscriber for a long time. Next season is tough since Pantages/Nederlander landed most of the musicals on tour. I'm really disappointed that TORCH SONG doesn't appear to be happening. I wish they had swept wider for plays to bring in rather than one person shows which I think are better suited to the Taper or Douglas. We still haven't gotten OSLO here in LA. And NETWORK would have been a coup if they could mount
Thanks for all of your different seating experiences and the photo. I may make a trek up from L.A. to see this. Any other insights into area and seat choices?
Thanks, Miramar3. I went for the second price level and got a seat on the floor level Section E. I couldn't spring for a couple hundred buck ticket, and I took the first ticket the website offered me. I'd much rather choose my seat, but that's not the way AXS had it set up at the moment. Hope that's a decent seat.
Thanks for the link, Miramar3. We'll keep our fingers crossed. The AXS rep I spoke to on the phone said they are sending out random codes. I don't know if he was right or whatever. It's 11:30 pm PST and I haven't received anything from AXS. We'll see what happens tomorrow at 10 am PST. I'll post what I find out. Thanks!
Where are you, Miramar3? I'm in Southern California and looking for pre-sale for Jackman's concert in San Diego. I was told by a rep of AXS that they would be sending presale codes today and tonight at random - meaning not everyone is going to get a presale code. Anyone in the San Diego area get a code?
Thanks. That presale link is for Ticketmaster in New York. It appears Ticketmaster does have presales in other cities. I'm looking for San Diego and Ticketmaster doesn't have that date. It looks like AXS is handling the HJ tickets in SD and they list a Dec. 5 presale. It doesn't say who will have access though. It looks like people should check the venues in their area for presale since the listings aren't on the HJ website.

This is cool news. I looked at the website to see if there are any presales. But I dont see anything. Did anyone else see anything re presales?
