Attended this afternoon's closing performance which was even better than when I previously saw it. The four leads gave incredible performances. A shame that others did not see this wonderful production.

The show opens with the body double lying dead in the pool, but then he rises and appears intermittently throughout the performance. He literally walks around stiffly in numerous scenes with a death pallor light on him. When Norma shoots the actual Joe, Rodriguez falls into the pool, which is represented by the center stage elevator.

Saw it last evening, sitting first row on the aisle next to the staircase set which gave me an interesting perspective. All four leads were excellent, but I had minor issues with Alice's Norma. Her black wig looked like it was found at Ann Miller's estate sale. The gown she wore for the New Year's Eve scene was incredibly unflattering. She was in good voice last night, received an extended ovation after "As If We Never Said Goodbye". Rodriguez, Klemperer and Michals were very impressive. Norma's

That shabby theatre is such a dump. The seats are stained, dirty, some broken and all extremely uncomfortable.

A Broadway opening in the summer of 2019 is what a Colonial usher told me last week, as well. I should think the production would lose its momentum between now and then, and possibly some members of the cast.

From my Orchestra second row seat last Thursday evening, Aaron's and Karen's tears were clearly evident, but I somehow missed seeing any quivering lips. It's true, Aaron is a very emotional singer, further evidenced by the copious tears that streamed down his face while singing "Being Alive" in Company last summer at the Barrington in the Berkshires.

Could the fact that Matthew Morrison was in the audience the other night be considered a red flag for Aaron? I hope not, because Aaron is superb as Christian. If one of the two leads is replaced prior to Broadway, my choice would be top billed Karen. Though she's very good in the show, I see the lack of chemistry between Aaron and Karen an issue. Their seven year age difference was very apparent from my second row Orchestra seat, especially with Aaron playing Christian so boyish in the earlier s
Very enjoyable, Aaron and Karen were outstanding when they sang, separately and together, but I was just not feeling sufficient chemistry between them.
Danny is another standout, as are numerous other cast members.
Some of the songs were just too gimmicky and obviously chosen to get an audience reaction, even though they might not be appropriate choices.
Is security still doing the metal detector thing or has that been put to rest?
If it's still intact, do they hold the curtain until everyone is seated?

Not rude, but awkward. In 1989, after a joint concert appearance by Barbara Cook and Mandy Patinkin at Symphony Hall in Boston. Barbara was besieged by fans at the stage door, not a soul approached Mandy.
