Hamilton Tickets May 9

Um, here’s a thought: visit the show’s website and click on “tickets.” It will tell you which vendors are legitimate. And give you a direct link to Ticketmaster.
School of Rock Discount Help May 2

Yep, I think they just upped it to $16 though. Thanks for checking :)
My 7yo has recently taken an interest in SOR, and I’d love to take him to see it IF I can get cheap tickets. I know there are $59 seats readily available, but if I can do better than rear mezz I’d like to try. Unfortunately we’re down in Maryland now, so I don’t have the same flexibility to jump on discounts that I used to. I’m also not that adept at reading/interpreting the weekly grosses, so I’m hoping some of you who are can help me plan :)
I have two tickets to tomorrow's matinee of Frozen that I'm not going to be able to use. I've had them re-listed on ticketmaster for a couple of weeks, but they haven't sold. At this point I'm just trying to recoup SOME of the money I spent. What are my best options for unloading them this late in the game? Are people more likely to go to other sites (eg stubhub) for last-minute tickets? I'm not in NY so unfortunately I can't get to the box office. Many thanks for

Right there with you on Ring of Keys - everyone was so excited but I thought it was an AWFUL choice. Realized I was wrong the moment they started!
i also agree that “If I HadMy Time Again” would have been a great choicefor Groundhog Day, but I assu

I agree whole-heartedly about Groundhog Day. They shot themselves in the foot with that song choice. It completely baffled me. I also remember thinking “please, just don’t have the person in a groundhog costume on stage” and of course they did. Made though s
Thanks all! These comments have been super helpful (and I totally forgot Jackie Hoffman was in the show - that might make it worthwhile for me). I think I'll look at discount tix next time we're in town.
PThesbian- how is SOR in terms of kid-friendliness? My son loved their Tony number but he's only six so based on the movie I thought it might be inappropriate. I'd definitely be interested in taking him to see that if it's not. Lion King and
I read horrible things during early previews and had totally written this show off, but kiddo saw the video playing above Times Square today and was enthralled. Did it get any better? Specifically, did the gruesome stuff about kids dying and body parts being thrown onstage get cut? I can handle bad if he's excited about it, but don't want to expose him to disturbing or scary. He refused to see Matilda because he was afraid of Trunchbull. Any input appreciated!
I'm curious about this too - noticed yesterday that right before showtime availability changed to pickup at stubhub last-minute something-or-other and the closest one is at 39th. Has anyone done this???
Last year Hamilton released a new block of tickets exactly five minutes after the Tonys wrapped up (postponed from the originally-scheduled release at 8pm on Tony night). Anyone know if similar hijinx are happening this year? Particularly re: Hamilton or DEH? I never seem to get the emails reliably, so turning to the most "on it" source I know, which is all of you. Thanks in advance!
Best Usher Who Doesn’t Take Shit from Nobody and Isn’t About to Start Today:
The kick-ass usher who addressed the entire rear mezzanine of Hamilton when I went in October with this: "When the show starts, you must put away your cell phones. You can LOL, but you can NOT text your BFF, or you'll have to deal with a VCWWAA - very cross woman with an attitude!"
"I don't think Amelie will post their notice tonight. That's drastic.
That would seem drastic but I just scrolled through some random dates on Ticketmaster and there's a whole lotta blue. I mean a whole lot. "
It's also been on TDF for nearly every performance since opening, for multiple weeks in advance - which means they KNOW they won't sell. I'm sure they've been losing money, and most likely h

There's a big difference between a show not being good and a show not selling tickets. Charlie is selling. Poor Amelie, on the other hand - I wouldn't be surprised if they wrapped up this weekend (or next, if it's too late per Equity regulations). Fully expecting their notice tonight, after they've had a chance t
Broadway.com is a re-seller. They are legit, but make no mistake that they up-charge tickets for their own profit. They've somehow gained a reputation as a go-to for direct ticket sales, and that is a scam as far as I'm concerned. Hamilton is the ONLY thing worth buying through them, because their outrageous prices are still less than other resale outlets, but I resent that they mislead so many ticket buyers so I try to avoid it.
I listen to Hamilton with my 5yo (started when he was 4) and don't bother turning down the volume. In my experience the less attention you draw to it, the less they notice. Admittedly for this one in particular, I just refrain from singing along on those lines, and the words are so fast he usually can't make them out anyway! I used to skip "Say No To This," but eventually he heard it, and the sexual content was so far over his head it didn't matter. I will say I'

I had completely accepted the fact that I would not be seeing Hamilton in New York for at least another year until this Broadway.com suggestion showed up! I got tickets for Christmastime and Easter break for under 400! That's insane! What is going on?????
Glad the Broadway.com tip was helpful!! I have never bought from them, but I can't IMAGINE their tickets aren't legit - they're too well known and they've been around too long to be getting away with anything like that. My objections are to the FEES, mostly because they market themselves as THE place to buy tickets, when in fact they are resellers and they're upcharging every seat by at least $30. In most cases, you could just as easily buy through telecharge/ti
