re: Disney Movies You Wish Would Be Musicals  Aug 28 2007, 01:01:56 AM
Please, Disney....take a break from Broadway!

re: Annie Golden steps in for Jackie Hoffman  Aug 28 2007, 12:40:18 AM
I saw the show a week ago Sunday. I had seen Cheyenne before in "All Shook Up" which was not one of my favorites, but he was fantastic in "Xanadu"! His "Don't Walk Away" will break your heart.

Curtis Holbrook (Brad from the "Hairspray" film) does a great tap number.

Enjoy the show!

Naughty, naughty Virgo! I thought you were going away. You just can't resist, can you? Please go and see a show before you read the reviews and form an opinion based on what you actually see. Then you can get back to us.

Fare the well Miss Virgo! Have a nice life. And please learn how to read. I did not say that I tried to see your idol, I said MAYBE I tried to see her.....

No need to respond. It must be past your bedtime anyway.

Oh Poor Virgo, you are the ignorant one. Give it a rest, sweetie. You don't always have to have the last word, especially when you have nothing real to say. Please go back to the Idol boards and post your adoration over there.

She reads book reviews like they was books.

LOL! It's been documented by others. Just search the threads and you can find out but she has missed many. ETHEL MERMAN she ain't!

re: The Color Purple Starring Fantasia - 8/24/07  Aug 27 2007, 09:22:20 PM
You really can't take people seriously who do nothing but complain about a person who've they have never seen. Perhaps if he went to see her, he'd actually grow to respect the work that she is doing. But of course, that'd make too much sense and Jimmy won't ever do that.

Well maybe I tried to see her and she was OUT! Anyway, this is pretty rich coming from you! You have NOT SEEN THE SHOW. You only read the reviews. LOL!!!!!!!!!

re: The Color Purple NOT starring Fantasia - 8/26/07  Aug 27 2007, 09:16:05 PM
I'll give it up when you finally stop defending her every move. Until then, sweetie, you DEAL WITH IT!

re: The Color Purple NOT starring Fantasia - 8/26/07  Aug 27 2007, 09:06:35 PM
..but they dont have the police watching their every move like Fantasia.

Nor are they featured in the ads so I doubt there are a lot of people making the journey to NY just to see them. They are going to see Fantasia and she should be showing up!

re: The Color Purple NOT starring Fantasia - 8/26/07  Aug 27 2007, 09:00:48 PM
LOL! She has missed a lot of work days in the amount of time she has been in the show so she must not be able to walk and talk an awfully lot. She signed a contract for 8 shows a week and she should be working 8 shows a week! If she can't handle it, then she should go on a restricted schedule and allow her fans to be able to count on seeing her when they get to the theatre.

Were you in the bathroom with the Republican mentioned on the off topic board?

I just came back from Poughkeepsie and, sadly, they don't have a dinner theatre. Also, I didn't know about the chicken pot pies. I'll have to remember that for my next trip in December.

re: BWW Video Show Preview: XANADU featuring Butler and Jackson  Aug 26 2007, 08:51:19 PM
I saw the show last Sunday. Cheyenne was amazing! Good fun all around and not a bad seat in the house.

re: Legally Blonde understudies  Aug 26 2007, 06:06:30 PM
Last Sunday I saw the 3 "Bruisers" heading to the Palace for the evening show. I guess the one that was being carried was the "star" and the two on the leashes were the understudy and standby.

re: The Color Purple NOT starring Fantasia - 8/26/07  Aug 26 2007, 04:19:27 PM
Fantasia was out again today! Seems she doesn't have the stuff for 8 shows a week. What would a real star like Ethel Merman say if she were still alive? OY!

re: The Color Purple NOT starring Fantasia - 8/26/07  Aug 26 2007, 02:48:42 PM
And she is MIA again today!

re: Clumsy's Birthday Trip: Legally Blonde [2pm] and Xanadu [8pm]: 8-18-07  Aug 26 2007, 11:22:24 AM
Cheyenne's rendition of "Don't Walk Away" is fantastic! A real show stopper and it should be on the CD!

re: The Color Purple starring Fantasia - 8/24/07  Aug 26 2007, 06:03:54 AM
For heaven's sake, you haven't even seen the show and you continue to defend her performance!

Amen to that! Virgo keeps talking about the "reviews" but has not seen the show, yet keeps on telling everyone how wonderful Fantasia is in it. It reminds me of the line in "Gypsy" where Rose says, "She reads book reviews like they were books"!
