NBC will present THE GRINCH musical this December starring Morrison  Dec 11 2020, 02:19:35 AM

I don't want to bag on Matthew Morrison, partially because his performance is genuinely not worth dissecting. He isn't the Grinch. I am all for the power of transformation with any actor, but this wasn't a test of transformation. Because our modern culture has mainly seen the character of the Grinch through the live-action Jim Carrey version, WHICH IS ICONIC, most audiences associate the character of the Grinch as a "more comedic and smarmy Scrooge". The Grinch story is

Does Matthew Morrison have duel citizenship in the UK or something? This is not even an "odd casting choice", this is an "absolutely not casting decision". What's the deal with this cast though? Anyone know why things seem disjointed? It sounded like NBC stopped doing their live musicals a while ago and this sudden announcement of a television musical seems just strange. It doesn't seem to be live musical, I'm guessing it is pre-recorded. I wish they would

Body Mics for Original SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE?  Dec 3 2020, 03:52:24 PM

The podcast is called 'Out for Blood' and there's a trailer out now so you can subscribe! /shameless plug over"

That's so awesome! I will be sure to check it out!

Thank you for attaching that video interview. I have watched the PBS recording over and over again to see if/where they were mic-ed. The only time I ever see a wire is when the Boatman lays down and you can see the black wire come apart from his head. Side tangent, but I would really like to see Broadway hiding microphones better on performers. I know this definitely doesn't matter to all audience members, and although I completely understand and respect the artistic choice for the "

Does anyone know if body mics were used on the entire company of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE on Broadway in 1984? A reliable source?
