The Ratatouille Musical is HAPPENING.  Dec 9 2020, 04:48:41 PM

IT IS HAPPENING!!!

Remy the ratatouille...you do realize Remy is a rat and ratatouille is food, right...?? This whole thing is absolutely bonkers. I can't believe it. Spongebob? Sure. I'll be open minded about that. They did a fantastic job. But RATATOUILLE??? No. No. Absolutely not. Am I the only one who is opposed and thinks this is ridiculous??

I just looked up the show and it seems like they're still going ahead with the summer 2021 opening!

THE PROM new song and release date  Nov 29 2020, 04:56:24 PM

Watching it right now and I just adore Keegan Michael-Key, tbh. But also all of the leads are phenomenal. I adore this cast! If they couldn't get the Broadway cast, they did a great job with these actors. I'm loving them.

Why? Because someone dislikes how a group of people are reacting to a show closing? What are you going to do-delete every thread that mentions Beetlejuice and how it was kicked out by TMM? You can't have that much control over these boards. I think some people have learned to let some comments on here slide off them-I have yet to learn (working on it), but saying the thread needs to be shut

Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical  Nov 24 2020, 06:47:08 PM

Maybe as a fun, online production-yes. I could see that being fun. But as a fully staged production where humans AND rats have to interact (as opposed to shows like The Lion King where humans never appear), the underground world of Remy....I try to be as open-minded as I can with shows. I really do. I was a big fan of the Spongebob cartoon and went into the show totally open-minded, no judgement. But this...I just...no. One step too far.

Should BroadwayCon 2021 be virtual?  Nov 24 2020, 05:38:59 PM

BroadwayBrat said: "I don't think so. The event should be canceled for 2021. I am not sure there will be much to celebrate by next January. Come back strong in 2022."

I agree 100%. I don't know how successful the Flea Market was, but I highly doubt this would see much success virtually. 2022 seems the best option.

Sometimes things go over peoples heads-but you don't need to be cruel or make fun of them for it. I never said I'm the ultimate decision maker. I use sarcasm as well-doesn't mean I belittle people who don't get it.

Treating people with respect isn't something everyone knows how to do. People find different things funny.Being sarcastic and rude to someone online isn't funny, and it's sad that some people think it is.

I have never seen a group of people so disrespectful than those who “stan” Beetlejuice. For the love of God. Saying “eff the music man”? Really? (I saw it on TIKTOK). Please learn some respect and find other things to focus on instead of putting down a show that people ARE actually excited about. If not, keep your mouth shut. It’s not okay, nor is it funny. Get over it.

I regret not seeing...  Nov 2 2020, 07:22:09 PM

Legally Blonde has jumped to the top of my list since rediscovering The Search for Elle Woods and the MTV proshot.

But also Beetlejuice, just so I could know why everyone is so riled up about its closing.

Not entering the Hamilton lottery when it was off Broadway. I ended up working at The Public right after its Broadway transfer. JUST MISSED IT.

Call Jenna Maroney! MYSTIC PIZZA musical hopes to premiere at Ogunquit Playhouse in 2021  Oct 30 2020, 10:49:07 AM

There are several movies that I've thought would make excellent musicals. I've had this in my top 3 and I really hope to be able to see this whenever it premieres!

Good!! Now people can actually enjoy bows/curtain call and respect the actors instead of rushing to get a spot at the stagedoor!

Look. I totally 100% understand how important theater is and can be to people of all ages. It can inspire, it can heal, it can open their minds. But there are certain things, that even if you don't have the means to do so, are meant to be experienced in real time, in real life. Otherwise you're taking away what makes it so special. Can you honestly say that once someone sees a show from their couch they'd also want to see it in the theater-even if that means paying for a ticket to go around the
