I'd argue that the reason Africans are displayed the way they are is to show howout of touch the Mormon missionaries are.Besides, the show draws attention to actual problems like female genital mutilation and AIDS... A really simple and obvious example is how in"Hasa diga eebowai", the Africans talk about famine and poverty while Mormons are complaining how their bus was late — the intention isn't to make fun of Africa

Wrong. And if you can't take a joke as being a joke, that's kinda on you."
So I take it you consider jokes about Africans being gullible baby-raping morons to be roughly equal to jokes a

I wanted to see it in LA but wasn't able to find information on whether it's equity or not and I don't want to pay the same amount for a tour that isn't giving it's actors the same protections as an equity tour. This isn't a jab to the quality for performances BTW, more to the people profiting most. Anyways, I couldn't find that information for JCSS

It's crazy that the show has been open for over 4 years and we've only had 2 principal Angelicas. Yes, it's a good steady job, but how is she not worn out? My dream Angelica is Amber Grey.

Hamilton will always hold a special place in my heart. I got into it in February of 2015 after my 6th grade drama teacher saw it at the Public over President’s Day Weekend and came back and told us it was ”the next big thing” and I instantly fell in love with it. I remember having a count down on my phone until the day the OBCR came out and listening to it at 9pm (I'm on the west coast) with a bunch of friends and going ballistic to every song. Every Wednesday at lunch I would eagerly await the

She was phenomenal in Hamilton, and I'm so happy she's gotten all this success. She was also just the kindest person ever at the stage door. Really humble and gracious

I wrote a piece for school about BOM and how it's more offensive to black people than to Mormons, and I don't think my opinion is exclusive to me. But it is quite accessible as of now, with SRO being $25

Ugh I'm so upset I won't be able to see this soon. WSS is one of my favorite musicals and it's about time it's reimagined. Not that the original isn't good, I just want to see a new spin SO BADLY. Praying it's still open this summer and I can try to make the shlep.

longtime lurker, first-time poster here. it makes me really happy to see all the praise for Isaac. I've always loved his charisma and stage presence, and what a voice he has, and I'm glad he's finally in a role where he can showcase that fully, and hopefully get attention during awards season. I don't think I'll be able to see this show soon due to geography but I hope they release B-roll and a cast album so I can see/hear parts of his performance. A few questions, on his Instagram story there w
