Ok now you know you have most of the knockout cast we had in UK in the West End you need to book - trying to keep any spoilers out of seating recommendations - but don't read if you want everything to be a surprise - have no worry this play holds a lot.
The Barrymore holds 1032 against the 900ish the Noel coward did - looks like Barrymore has only two levels while Noel had four. Presuming the Barrymore is a bit wider so this should help visuals on the side if you have seen an

As both parts are over three hours it's worth checking seats and possibly paying bit extra to secure comfortable seat In London they did do a good offer if you booked both parts and dynamic pricing kicked in a lot. Is it open ended at present or listed as limited run. In London start and final weeks were heavily booked but mid term there were lots of offers.

Congratulations You have Samuel H Levine in the cast. Easily the glue which held this show together with his stunning performance and glad he gets to shine on Broadway. Looking forward to reading reactions to this play and how a different theatre going crowd react to it and to see if changes have been made. Certainly should probably get more discussion and challenges than it did in UK. A thought provoking show
Can an 11 year old see the show Hamilton alone? Jan 14

Interesting the UK delfont mackintosh theatre site which owns the theatre Hamilton is playing at along with several others state clearly on their booking page for Hamilton and other shows that children 16 and under must be seated next to Their accompanying adult and that unchaperoned children maybe refused entry.
First response is thats €25 is still over priced for this show but do know there were people in tears of laugher from the moment the show started and its has now spawned peter pan goes wrong and the bank robbery goes wrong spin offs so a lot of people do like this brand
Will be interesting how "original" people think this show is - if you are board you can count how many times they flog the same joke - the London productions feature in quite small th
So sorry about this! he is certainly not a west end name or even name in the UK and they would have struggled to find a review of the London show which praised him or didnt list him as the weakest link. Will be interesting reading what the Broadway reviewers say even if they are not meant to be as powerful as before.
The filmed show was very much retooled and directed and made a far stronger performance than seeing it live and made his role passable - honestly wait until he goes a
He certainly has been having a great run in the UK opening in The Commitments, Memphis and then Kinky Boots and getting great reviews and a growing fan base for all three and one the few recognizable names on the West end who have got there via talent and working their way up rather than being put in the role due to their xfactor - UK got talent - any reality show "fame" -
Oh Brexit vote was a bit more about us being independently governed rather th
Finally got this playing all day in the UK - in the end from the 18.30 original showing it expanded in some places to 11am and 2.30 as well so you could have had a whole day of it.
As most posters have said the close ups especially at the start stop you getting the traditional theatre view but this is certainly a very adapted filming of the staging with a lot added just for the film adding depth which was not there int he stage version - its certainly not a st
Ok was not expecting the outflow of joy and praise for the show so sounds like they have done a good job with the filming and captured some of the power of the show which was missing when I saw it in London.
Not read any comments about about accents but bar the engineer the board seem to agree the cast is nowhere as strong as the originals or previous touring casts
The missing curtain call seems odd (if I read correctly) as this was very drawn out affair and end
Not sure why the UK has to wait until the 16th of Oct for the cinema showing but will be interesting to see what you all think of the revamp and especially the new cast - certainly more of a risk for them prior to the Broadway return if people dont like the new staging.
Enjoy the movie and lookout for the nod to book of mormon
Be very very glad you do have Jon Jon Briones in it as the engineer - he really was the only stand out and memorable feature of the recent London production which is in no way equal to the original or even the UK touring version - I am presuming the 25th anniversary filmed show will be in USA cinemas later this year so you will get to see how more staging money does not mean a better show.
Do envy you getting a different Chris lead than the wimpy
Strangely they have been advertising his Broadway performances in big colour splashes in the middle of the theatre listings in the major papers in the UK - possible they want to remind any American tourists what they can see when they get back home or just using it to get a different slant on advertising but as they have got the 30 years running tag line this year and it seems to be selling well - no sales at the Tkts booth and rare to see any cut price promotions it is a
Ok as most of you will know we in the Uk are currently enjoying Imelda Stanton in full show stopping mode in Gypsy - with the 40 year gap between the last West End version and most of us missing the Bette Midler video its like seeing a brand new show and a stunning one at that as while we knew the songs we hadn't seen the show.
So having fallen totally for this musical and started the rounds on getting the versions any hints on the ones to get or miss

Christine Baranski and Ruthie Hensall to Star in Follies Concert This Spring Feb 20

The Royal Albert hall email gave an expanded and updated cast listing - some great performers but still an odd mix of proven musical performers and some decidely less so.The ticket prices are a bit higher than normal for a one day concert and the site was showing a fair number of unsold arena and stalls seats so presume some of these names pulled in help sales - Not seen any special offers on seats yet.
Featuring an all-star cast including: Christine Baranski (Into The Woods, The
Ghost Special Effects Aug 31

Sit anywhere off central view and it will be very clear how this effect is done - saw it at Bristol row E and off centre and most of the audience could see him walk through the door several times before the actual moment - unless you are centre on for viewing this show a lot of the special effects lose impact or you can see how they work/being set up or at worst they just looked jumbled as per the subway carriage scene which for such a major effort has never got even a ripple of approval in the
