I love how you're complaining about the WHOLE season but only defending your opinion by listing only a couple shows...

How is it odd? He's expanding is horizons.
Julie Taymor Jan 23

Taymor didn't direct all of Spider-Man though, only for 1.0. Additional directing for 2.0 was done by someone else (Forgot his name). But I have had that thought myself. Directors have their good and bad shows.

I saw it in Tampa last year and loved it. Has the show really changed any?
Union Tours vs. Non-Union Tours Jan 15
2015, 08:59:11 PM
I've seen both great and terrible equity and non-equity shows. I saw Flashdance when the tour was equity. Worst equity tour show I've ever seen. (Now it's non-equity I believe, but refuse to see it nonetheless.) The American Idiot tour was non-equity and I thought it was astounding. Both union and non-union shows can be just as bad or good as the other.
"Wheels of a Dream"- Ragtime "Cabaret"- Cabaret "Memphis Lives In Me"- Memphis "Send in the Clowns"- A Little Night Music "The Old Red Hills of Home"- Parade

I don't think it's a show that would survive without Idina anyways.

When I saw the first national tour of Wicked, Glinda (Chandra Lee Schwartz) said the line "Elphie, now that we're friends. I've decided to make you my new project." And the lady behind me loudly says "Oh god!"
I saw the Dirty Dancing tour and a lady in the orchestra seating was wearing a sleeping mask. During intermission, she was still wearing it.
Most enthusiastic audience you have experienced? Dec 12

When I saw Priscilla on tour, the audience rose to their feet during the finale as the three leads stepped out from their final costume change. It was such an incredible moment. People were singing along and cheering the whole time.
Also, the audience during the closing night performance of Tommy was quite amazing. Once the ensemble stepped onto the stage for the finale, the audience rose to their feet cheering and clapping.
phantom of the opera national tour? Dec 7

gleek4114, I'm seeing it in Tampa as well. I saw Dirty Dancing last night and the Straz Center lists their shows in programs by month. So looking at the cast list for Phantom, it doesn't say when alternates go on. I'm curious how the schedule for the Tampa run will go considering that there are extra matinee's for the holidays.
