You can always go Christmas window shopping; that's a show in itself :)
I've never actually done a Broadway Up Close Walking Tour but I've heard good things about it...
Also I second doing the Radio City tour...you get to meet a Rockette!
Although it's not for everyone, there's also "The Ride," a bus tour/show with street performers. Around this time of year there's a really beautiful "Carol of the Bells" ballet and if you
That is NOT too old; adults stage door and and send fan mail all the time; this is the prime age to do it! I don't think many younger kids write fan mail for shows other than Disney shows; for other shows it's teens and adults (and technically you are both). Any actor or actress will probably really appreciate your thoughtful gift. :)
I'm curious if anyone has been able to deduce what Taylor Swift is singing about in the song "Beautiful Ghosts?" Anyone who knows the context of the Broadway show able to provide some guesses as to how it will fit into the plot?
What to say, everyone?! I am still speechless. Nick, Josh, and Allison had an incredible last performance and they drew out many of their big belting notes to twice their normal length to which I appreciated very much! I could feel the energy emanating throughout the room.
There were no speeches or announcements, however, their bows were nice and long and after the company bowed once, the three of them had their own special bow and Allison was holding a bouquet of flow
I also hate those shows where the guys walk up and down the aisles with waters and snacks in a box hanging around their neck like what is this the circus????!!!! It kind of ruins the ambiance and the setting of the scene. I just saw them do this at Come From Away and I believe they also did it at Evan Hansen?
That's awesome! Now I know what merch I want to purchase tomorrow for Nick, Josh, and Allison's last performance! I'll be sure to report back on that as well. Thank you for the great pictures.
How does waiting for SRO at Moulin Rouge work? Do you have to stand out in the cold for over five hours or something like that? Or do they let you into the theatre to wait? Also, has anyone ever gone to wait for SRO and been refused a ticket? I really want to do this at some point but not if I'm not guaranteed a SRO ticket; I'd be traveling a distance to do it. Thanks for reading; I'm clueless about this stuff lol.
With the release of the Mr. Rogers movie, I thought I'd point out that "Bring Him Home" and the Mr. Rogers song "Tree Tree Tree" are the exact same tune. Look it up. It's freaky. Wonder who stole from who, and if it was at all intentional.
The beginning of "Only Us" from Dear Evan Hansen is also exactly like the beginning of "Beautiful City" from Godspell!
I know they're doing a live filming in London (I believe in early December??) and it's showing in select movie theatres so that's kind of like what you're talking about!
Anyway, as far as dream casting, I would love one last hurrah from Colm Wilkinson, either in his bishop role or as Jean Valjean. I love Philip Quast's Javert, Anne Hathaway's Fantine, Eddie Redmayne's Marius, Aaron Tveit's Enjolras, and Fra Fee's Courfeyrac. If they would
I would really recommend seeing the movie before you go see the show; not only will you immediately fall in love with it but then when you're at the show you'll be able to focus more on the power and emotion that the actors give off instead of trying to figure out the plot (which is very complicated)! Just a Mizzie's two cents :)
I would like to see Fleetwood Mac or Billy Joel, as others have said.
However, I also think the movie "Judy" could be turned into an interesting bio musical. It basically already exists in film format (multiple songs in the movie), now they just have to adapt it to the stage. Did they already do this with Paper Mill's "Chasing Rainbows?" Not sure what that was about other than it was a Judy Garland musical.
