I thought the show was great - very funny, not too heavy and it was wonderful to see all three of the actors wonderfully portraying their roles. Overall, it was an entertaining night well spent on Broadway.

It could be Getting the Band Back Together which most people suspected would be bad, and was, and didn't find an audience. Or it could be Come From Away which had a lot of naysayers and which I find totally mediocre but has been wildly successful. Or it could be A Bronx Tale which went on to have an inexplicably long run.
A lot of people are mentioning that the play needed some trimming, but I saw it on Saturday and thought the pace, flow and length was perfect for what Rebeck was trying to get across. Janet McTeer really nailed Sarah Bernhardt and the rest of the cast was really great too. I was a big fan of the production.

I saw that it was being done in Atlanta sometime soon so I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they are just testing it regionally while the movie comes out?
I think it is a bit of a gamble as well. So much invested already. However, I think you could blame low ticket sales on the fact that they just started rehearsals yesterday. So how can you buy a ticket for a show when there are not even rehearsal clips?? Hard to justify really.
Also, Jerry Mitchell is a personal fav. I just love a director/choreo combo because it's just all one thought and vision. Cannot wait to see his execution, either way.
Overall I think this play is worth seeing. I still am like constructing my review, but the more I think about it, it was unique. I don't think the screaming was too much and even though it wasn't always completely clear what they were saying, I am glad I had full context from the book and movie. However, Jonno Davies was an incredible actor and his performance alone was worth it.
I am going to see this tonight and I am excited to see this! I don't know if I just haven't searched enough, is there any pre-existing thread for people who have already seen A Clockwork Orange? Would love to compare / discuss thoughts about it.
Come From Away and 13. Well when I saw 13 it didn't have an intermission but I think in previews or before it's Broadway run it had an intermission and they took it out.
I was in between seeing these two shows as well and I ended up going with GHD. I was able to see Bandstand perform live in Bryant Park but I felt that GHD was something that had to be seen with all the props and scenery.
