I didn't like this as much as I thought I would based on how much I like the "Simple Sponge" And "Hero is My Middle Name" songs but nevertheless am watching it again right now on Nick. It's playing again on Tuesday and on 1/3.
Saw yesterday's matinee during a special day trip to Boston from NC. Still kind of processing whether it was worth it. I think I missed some details because I hadn't read the book and didn't see what effect was mentioned in spoiler that symbolized passing of Moby Dick. Agree that the Pip sequence seemed too long. Singing and production values were definitely amazing. It was sold out production but there were at least 5 empty seats at beginning and 10 more by end with a few intermi
Didn't really enjoy it as much as I thought I would based on liking a few of the songs but the Foley effects were amazing and I was so happy to enjoy Broadway from my home since I missed it on-stage.
I had seen the post about Groundhog Day playing in Minnesota but just found out it was playing in San Francisco starting in a week. Was hoping to catch it even though I'm assuming it's regional production.
There was a play off-broadway called "Uncommon Sense" that had several characters on the spectrum. I want to say there was also one at 5e5s theatre a year or so as well but don't remember the name.
Just got an email about Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus coming in its first production off the Broadway stage to Albuquerque in January/February 2020. It's with Fusion company which I think is currently Albuquerque's only equity theater.

I ushered for it Saturday. I didn’t know much about situation it was based on so thought it would be more upbeat but it reflected historical events so got very dark at end.

2019, 11:51:08 AM
I was debating whether to make a visit around Labor Day but am thinking it might be in between season for plays since most of the current ones except for maybe TKAM close in summer and Ill have seen most of the musicals. Does the new season of plays start later or is it likely the current batch will extend even further if they get Tony nods?
