Moulin Rouge! vs Six Aug 1

I don’t know if they’d be competing with each other directly; MR has a built in fan base from the movie, where Six doesn’t have that. I know the hype is strong for this one but no one knows what is going to happen when it opens at a much larger theatre for an open ended run. I think MR is going to be just fine for at least the next year or so, other shows non withstanding.

Yeah. Very simple staging, lighting and sound cues are minimal.

Saw the matinee of Sea Wall/A Life yesterday, 7/31. Ended up spending a little more on tickets than I anticipated but the seats were perfect - we were row L, seats 103/104 and the sight lines were great, especially considering Jake stays pretty much in the same place the whole time (Tom moves around a lot more). Someone’s phone went off 3 times in the middle of Tom’s piece, the first time being in arguably the most emotional part of the entire monologue, and while Tom did an excellent job of not
