"I went into the Greg thread once to see why it was surpassing so many love threads so quickly but it scared me and I shant return. There was a chick who wanted to marry a virtual chimp. I forsee a very interesting episode of Jerry Springer."
Any recent weekend rush reports? Or anyone planning to rush this weekend? I'm going to be rushing Saturday, May 12th, and just want to see if the Tony noms make the line up any earlier. Thanks!
Just got home from rushing! Got there at 7:45am and was 7th in line. Easily purchased 2 tickets for tonight's 8pm. I know at least 3 of the people in front of me got tickets for that performance as well, not sure if anyone got matinee tickets.
Two people behind me arrived sometime between 8 and 8:15, and the line grew steadily after then. By 9:30 I'd say it was at least 25 people long. I didn't count much, though, I was too busy concentrating on not freezing to death.
Planning on getting there at 7:30am tomorrow.... worried Christmas week will make it harder, but it's too cold for me to stand out there any longer than that! :P
I was there last night as well - my first time at Hamilton! I thought Michael Luwoye was great, I never would have known it was his first performance as Burr.
I was there last night, and thought it was beautiful.
I've always thought that act one is hard to get right, and I think they're doing a great job. I love the building blocks set concept. This material really lends itself to a concept like this. Once they have more time to really nail down the movement (and it is CONSTANT), it'll be even more thrilling than it was last night. They nailed act two. I was a crying mess from Holding to the Ground all the way to the e
I can't wait for all the "OMG my tickets were cancelled" "they said the code I used was not issued to my email. I can't believe they did that" "evil producers"
They will come I am sure.
Is there something stated in the e-mail that went out that specifies this as a rule?
This quote is rich: "The campaign’s deadline was initially scheduled for June 11; however, earlier this week, the production predicted that it would raise enough money and made the decision to go ahead with performing at the Tonys. A video was posted to&nbs
***thanks** for pricing out actors. You just made sure I can't afford the show. Guess I'll never see Hamilton. Theatre is not an elitist escape, fyi. Theatre is FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT THE INVESTORS.
If the exhorbitant price is seen as a way to support the $10 rush, where is the middle class?!?!?
Also adding my name to the list if there are any unused codes out there! I can't pay a cent more than tickets cost, unfortunately, but you'll get the warm and fuzzy feeling that comes with helping out someone who has yet to see the show. :)
Just FYI: I rushed this morning. Got to the theater around 9:20 and was 13th in line. No problem getting tickets at all. Got the last row of the orchestra (S), seats 17 and 19.
FYI - We never got standing room, HOWEVER, when I went to the box office just before 6pm and asked if they were selling standing room tickets, the man working (who was insanely nice, btw) said no, but that they had $52 seats. I hadn't seen anywhere that this was something they do... they weren't partial view or anything. Row H, 138 and 140. Great seats. So we took those.
I did see people in standing room spots once the show started, so they definitely sold them sometime be
