just a heads up, i rushed this last wk & the box office person ask my height cause he mention 5'3 is about the cut off for this SRO. the wall is high and im about 5'4 and was resting my arms on the top of the wall.
also note: the Lunt Fontanne doesn't have coat check, another thing to keep in mind if your doing SRO this winter.
if this helps, i got a rush ticket yesterday (12/18) at 12pm for the 2pm matinee. seat was A8 & the box office person told me it was the last full view rush ticket so the 1st row seats are not being stamp as partial view. like someone mention, your view sometimes gets block from the backs of actors but its exciting to be so close up to the action.
Come From Away rush Mar 30
2019, 01:38:09 PM
I rushed this morning & 1st few people in line before 8am. Around 13 people a little after 830am. Over 45 people by the time box office at 10am. Other shows on the street around 8am: Hilary & Clinton has 3, 1 at ferryman, 2 at dear Evan.
does anybody care to share how you find out so quickly when popular shows like come from away or hadestown are listed? is there some notification you set on tdf or your computer? i do notice new listings tend to happen monday or tuesday of the week but i'm never quick enough for those with very limited quantities.
also does anyone know if tdf lets you anywhere save your credit card information for future purchases? thanks!
you can see listings after logging in your library card on website
I have gotten museum passes before but popular ones are often gone 3 months in advance. they post 3 months ahead on the 1st of each month. you have to show ID to pick up the tickets.
NYPL culture pass - free 2nd stage tickets Feb 27

The boards have been very helpful to me so I wanted to share about a program that I havent seen mention on here. New York Public Library started a culture pass program this summer for any library card holders. Its mostly for free museum tickets but I randomly stumble upon last winter a free ticket for Days of Rage at 2nd Stage. I sat in the box balcony which is partial view but overall I dont think I missed anything. I thought it was a random flux but I recently notice that 2nd Stage was again l
i sat in august row G extreme right side with the lottery. you will miss some extreme right set pieces & if anything happens really deep back in the stage. i remember i couldnt see all of Let it Go when she went deep back (i can't remember if i saw the costume change) but generally most action is center stage. i wasn't extremely into the show so i think worth it for $30. hope this helps!
I was ask which show I wanted. I imagine which ever show filled up 1st then you would only be offer the other 1 available. I was in row Z, looks like back rows were rush ticket viewers. Hope this help! Definitely much more attainable than few months ago.

Beautiful RUSH Tickets Nov 3

Beautiful rush If this helps anyone I went to rush recently the Sunday Kara Lindsay was leaving. There wasn’t anything by late afternoon but the box office told me that the info on telecharge isn’t accurate. They offer rush any show not just specific show dates like telecharge states. This show is also regularly on TDF right now too.

I just passed by broadway theater at 820am sat & there are 4 ppl waiting. This show has also made some appearances on TDF. I saw it this past Thursday thru TDF & sat 2nd to last row in orchestra. Worth it for the visuals and definitely back orchestra is good seats :)
