I have heard nothing about a broom. I'm guessing we would've heard by now (?)."

She's an incredible actor.

I don't disagree with that premise.  What I disagree with is you trying to be a martyr when a straight actor does play a gay role, as if only gay people should be allowed to play gay roles.  What if that was reversed?  Can you imagine Big Bang Theory without Jim Parsons?  He's gay in a straight role.  White Collar without Matt Bomer?  Gay in a straight role.  Any Tom Cruise movie

Alexia was a fantastic Elphaba. I always wished she had made the jump across the pond a la Rachel Tucker, Kerry Ellis, Willemijn Verkaik, and Gina Beck (Glinda).

While I agree we should be more diverse in casting, I just hope the "forced diversity" doesn't prevent us from getting some great Elphabas-in-waiting who happen to be whi

What kind of work do you do, out of curiosity? I can understand respect and boundaries, but can't imagine a place of work that can stop two adults from dating. Just think the gazillion marriages that came out of people meeting at work.

Broadway Cast moral code?  Oct 29 2020, 12:53:33 PM

This is an odd inquiry, but I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on the matter.  Is there a kind of moral/behavior/ethics code at Broadway productions or is it all Union driven?  For example, in my job, we are not allowed to date each other or have that kind of relationship with another employee.

I would think this would be massively important in something like Broadway because can you imagine how a bad breakup between cast members could affect a show?

If You Could Cast Judy Garland In a Broadway Show?  Oct 5 2020, 12:24:22 PM

Would it be too ironic for her to play Elphaba?  She basically melts herself in the end, since we never actually see Dorothy, we all picture young Judy.

Well the investigation is over.   Alison Luff (former Elphie) has wished her luck and she's followed by both GC and Hannah.  Though this is REALLY unusual for it to be 10 days away and still no announcement.
