I see Tootsies earning nominations for Best Actor, Musical, and Score at least. Obviously, I can't say much about the design categories since nothing has been released yet.
I just made a similar thread about this. Obviously, actors have no obligation to stage door and it's wonderful that she's trying to provide an alternative that she's more comfortable with. That being said I don't think anybody should pay anybody for a video message because it just seems like a waste of money but I don't see why Barrett's fans are complaining when she didn't have to give them this alternative at all.
There's this website called cameo that a lot of Broadway actors are using where customers can pay (usually $30-$80) to get a personal video message from the actor. Lot's of actors have been using this to raise money for charity; for example, Taylor Louderman is using it to raise money for Type 1 Diabetes research. I've seen Ryan Vaquez as both Burr and Hamilton and both were phenomenal.
I loved seeing Jenn Collela as Elizabeth in If/Then.

Lauren Zarkin was phenomenal as Natasha I agree.
This technically isn't an understudy but during the Hed
While I'm a big fan of Barlett Sher's work, I personally would love to see Michael Arden at the helm of this. He's a genius and I'd be curious to see what he would do with Ragtime.

maybe loren lott? i love what she's doing with ti moune and she deserves a big break.
I've been thinking for a while and I think especially cause of the current political climate, a revival of Ragtime would be very impactful. Get Joshua Henry as Coal (so he can get his much deserved tony) and Cynthia Erivo as Sarah and it would be golden. Maybe throw in Ari Stachel as Tateh and get a big name to play Mother and I think it would be a big hit.
