I will say (in defense of a musical I have not and will not see, which sounds like a hot mess) that it is named after one of their bigger hits. I would argue that it’s a much better title for a show than the unimaginative “The Cher Show” or “Summer.” Is “Beautiful” much better as far as the original name for a show goes? It was still succe

Man, I want this revival to come to Broadway so badly!!! Circle in the Square would be perfect for it!!!"
If you can get here to see it on Broadway, why can't you just see it at

Also, not to be a downer, but with the recent news, it doesn't seem like Demi Lovato would be in the bestplace to be preparing for Elphaba in the next few months, no?"
Yes for the first part of your post, definitely not for the second part! Also, everyone else before y

Yeah, the bolded part of this quote struck a chord with me, as (oh, how should I say this?) it couldn't be further from the truth, perhaps..? Just because you

Tell that to Lisa Kron. Or Itamar Moses. Or Steven Levenson (not really a quality book-writer, but still.) Or Dave Malloy. Or Anaïs Mitchell. Or Tina Fey, for Pete's sake!

Because that's the point of musical theater? Putting something different out into the world for people to enjoy! If we just copied the film in question, we would have a Pretty Woman situation where the book is the movie's script

Well, I'm excited, nonetheless! Granted, I did get the chance to see the OBC (minus Jonathan Groff) before they won all of those Tonys, but I definitely still want to see this!

You think people aren't trying to? While the reports follow more of a "it's so awful that I enjoyed it" trend, what's obvious is that this showisn't that great, so telling people to give it a chance is kindof a stretch!"
You really need to stop attacking people's opinions.
Also, why is it airing in May? Who is honestly going to watch a live broadcast of Hair in May? To me, it probably should've aired in like early March or late August, but May is kind of random!
What I've noticed in a few of the preview threads (especially in the Head Over Heels thread) is a lot of people seem to feel that a few of the newer shows in previews would have been a lot better if they had been truncated and condensed from two acts to one.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around this. The average tourist can only keep their attention spans so foucused on what they're watching that it creates this problem of "people checking watches" and "
