In my little opinion, which doesn’t matter at all in the grand scheme of things, art is open to interpretation. But, also, there is a point an artist makes with their work. At the end of the day, the way I interpret things can likely be different from what the artist intended. Art is what I need it to me. That is what is beautiful about all of this.

The vibe I got, which I enjoyed 90% of the time, was that it felt like a play with music, as opposed to a “musical”

Probably going to go to Arden though I really want Landau to get it

I do have to admit there was one minute mid show that my eyes were getting heavy.

Tell us your dream Broadway revival!  May 10 2018, 11:20:06 AM

I would love In The Heights at the Circle In the Square. Really interested to see how that would be staged 360 degrees. Also, would love to see Jordan Fisher as Benny.

It was really amazing. Interesting to see that all four musicals were based on source materials, yet TBV is being treated differently than the rest. Probably because the movie isn’t as well known.

Is THE BAND’S VISIT getting the Tony for Best Musical?  May 10 2018, 10:45:48 AM

While I have not seen Mean Girls, Spongebob Squarepants, or Frozen, I feel like The Band’s Visit might get this. I saw the matinee, May 9th at 2pm, and I was absolutely blown away. I’m sure i cried like 3 times. It is a beautiful show, which deserves all the acclaim it’s been getting. From everything I’ve been hearing, Frozen is ehh. Mean Girls, while very good, from all discussions I’ve had with friends who have seen it, won’t take it, so Sp

I recently saw Jackie Burns as Elphaba April 22nd. She was amazing! Have you heard good things of Jessica?

Lindsay is a goddess said: "Hasn't Jackie Burns been playing Elphaba on-and-off for like the last decade?"

Yes! I think this is her third go as Elphaba. She was on the tour, and then twice on Broadway.

Does anyone have any idea of who the next Elphie and Glinda will be? Amanda Jane Cooper and Jackie Burns began their run last July and it seems like they go through a new pair every year.
