I don't really like her notion that Cameo videos take a ton of time. They're generally only a minute long and read off the person's request, but I guess it varies depending on the person. I think she's ignoring the fact that most of the criticism stemmed from her trying to monetize idea of a "virtual stage door" and not her using the service itself.
Calling it a "virtual stage door" is a little odd and unnecessary, but I don't see anything wrong with it. I respect how upfront Barrett is with not wanting to do stage door because of anxiety. The comments on her Instagram post are very nasty.

They have every right to protest. If you're so concerned about wasted tax dollars, how do you feel about Trump's constant golf trips?
FX has really been giving the gays everything they want lately. Rockwell and Michelle Williams will be wonderful. Hope the rumors of Allison Williams aren't true, I can never look at her without thinking about her awful character in Girls.

Are you talking about criminalizing speech because of how other people react to it? That's an absolutely horrifying idea. People should be able to sayanythingthey want - other than di
I hope we get this sooner rather than later. The energy the original cast carried was tremendous and I'd love to relive it in HD, and it will be interesting to watch with today's knowledge on how successful many of those performers have became since.
You would think that Disney Channel would want to promote that this is a musical and based on the stage adaption. All the reception from the trailer seems to be "why does this need to be remade" because people just assume its a tired reiteration of the three previous Disney film adaptions.
Plus, the DCOM musicals are usually the more successful ones.
It seems people love to blame the current generation or a modern way of thinking as if it hasn't always been considered in poor taste to comment on a woman's weight. That's just basic decency. The comment should have been made without noting the actor's size.

It it sounds like a rather over sensitive actress getting some attention for herself. Then again, it must be pretty embarrassing to read comments like that in widely read publications about yourself."
"Ms. Umphress, by the way, is bigger than the other women onstage" is a wickedly unnecessary and insensitive comment. You can say that the costumes are not flattering without making a direct comment about a particular actor's body.
Considering the very short window these tickets were actually available for purchase, I doubt Forbes would be reporting on this if it weren't some sort of publicity stunt. Davenport commenting on the matter cements it for me.
I also saw this last night and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it despite its flaws. It's good to see a fun queer-positive musical, and it was a great way to end pride month.
Singing praise for Bonnie Mulligan, Peppermint, Rachel York and Samantha Pollino (a wonderful understudy). The entire cast is incredibly energetic and its clear they are having a lot of fun with this show.

You sound absolutely insufferable and I hope this production can continue with the same cast in spite of your tantrums over someone being a year too old.
Wasn't thrilled with Bloom's backstage reporting during the telecast, but she's a class act and a wonderful talent. NPH comes off pompous and rude, and the address for birthday presents is unusual to say the least.
