Hi, I’m 14 and completely obsessed with Chess (although I have never been able to see the show) and was thinking about writing to Michael Ball. I’ve never written any letters to actors or actresses before but I would really like to write him a letter. Does anybody know if it is worth it and if he will reply? And should I write to the theatre or to his ‘fan’ address?
Ps, is it rude to ask for something back, like a signed photo or something?

The best experience I’ve ever had was when my dad took me to see Les Misérables in London. We had front row seats in the middle and it was so exhilarating. You felt so connected with the characters. The best part was whilst the actress was singing IDAD as she looked at me and I could see the pain in her eyes. I left the show feeling shaky with lots of goosebumps. I’d seen the show twice before and seen many concerts but hands down this was the best one yet.

I know this is a really old thread so sorry but I can’t stand people ranking Èponine over Fantine. Although Èponine has more stage time, they have about the same number of songs and Fantine is so much more important to the plot. If Èponine wasn’t in the story at all, it wouldn’t matter. If Fantine wasn’t, Cosette’s part wouldn’t make sense. I also think it is weird that Èponine comes back at the end to take Valjean to heaven because he doesn’t know her so why is she there ? Hi. My secondary school is doing Les Miserables as my school production next month and I’m freaking out. I MUST be in a lead role. I really want Éponine or Fantine. Here’s the thing, the age range of my school is 11-16. I’m 14 but have a strong voice.
