I'm bringing this old thread back to life! I have a couple questions!
Has anyone attended their Two-Year musical theatre conservatory? I haven't heard much about the program and I'm considering auditioning for the school. I have a vast performing background and want to make sure I can learn & grow even more. Also, how hard is it exactly to get into the program?
Invited Dress started at 7:30 at curtain came down at approximately 10:03 which included a speech from the director. No stops and no sign of technical difficulties which was honestly very impressive considering the complex beast they have on stage. As I was a guest, I don’t feel it’s right to share my thoughts, but can say the puppet is incredible.
My parents started letting me go into the city, take the subways, and rush shows myself at age 13. I was very mature for my age and prior had already been going into the city 4 times a week with them, since I was 7 years-old. I always had my phone on me, in case of any emergency. SIDE NOTE: My mom also took me to see the 2009 revival of Hair for my 9th birthday. I remember the usher telling my mom that the show might be too explicit for me, but we both didn't give
While I am in LOVE with she and her music, I just don't see this happening right now. She's about to release her new album and, I'd imagine, wouldn't have time to do 8 shows a week. Maybe she's starring in the film adaptation? I'd be down for that. However, I do think she needs some acting lessons to prep for the role. This isn't a horrible idea though!
