I got good deal on tickets Tuesday night via stub hub. The price dropped right before showtime - I will say Stub hub pick up was not flawless - I had very little time to run up to the theater (they finally handed me my ticket at 6:54) - it was taking an unusually long time to get the tickets when I had minutes to make it there and there is no late seating. In the theater, I heard them call "minute thirty" as I ran to my seat.
I just spoke to Stubhub because I had NO idea they charge the buyers too! What a racket! They told me they don't lower the fees - that it is always 23-25%!! I suddenly saw how to see the fee with the ticket price!
Well - i was watching these tickets. There were 7 in mezz that went down to 6 about 15 minutes before the show - and 2 sets of seats in the orchestra. Then just before show time SH said no tickets available. I think definitely the group in the mezz were probably a ticket broker. Seems like they would lower them to get something. The fees are kind of high.
I am so glad I didn't buy any because I thought instant download meant you show ticket from phone! I would have been screw
Hi - you said you got good deal on Stubhub - when did you buy them? Same day? CLose to show time? I am trying to figure it out and i saw last night someone had them and instead of lowering the price - just let the tickets go to waste.
Also - I stopped at box office close to show time the other day - box office still had tickets in orchestra but they were also selling SRO. I was wondering - do they EVER let SRO people move to seats if they are in the back of the theater? I am guessing n
Hey there - thanks for all the responses! I definitely want to be prepared if I do this. I would crumble if I ended up getting the tickets last minute, saved money and then couldn't get in because I didn't have them printed!!!
I live in the city so I should be able to make this work. Any other stories welcome and appreciated.
I have not done it yet but have thought about it. I saw that there are download tickets - I assumed if you bought them on your phone you could download and just show ticket on phone - do you actually have to get it printed?
And - if you have done this - have you noticed approximately when the prices go down? It seems you might have to be at the theater already? Yesterday I watched and some people let their tickets go rather than drop prices. I was so sad... what happens to those
I was also there tonight. I didn't see anyone fall. There seemed to be more of a tech mishap. It was in Act II - in the back rooms in Bangkok. After Too Much for One Heart - song ends - all goes dark and no music, no actors... they shut it down, curtain closed and they announced tech issue and would resume show as soon as they could. Reopened and the Nightmare scene - it seems that there needed to be a set change so Thuy could be above her in those rooms. Something seemed to happen there.
I saw it! Amazing! Stephanie Block so funny, Kelli O'Hara - beautiful - eveyrone's singing was off the charts. Beautiful choreography. Great sets and that awesome full orchestra. Aasif Mandvhi really funny. Patrick Wilson... love him.
Great show. Everyone was excited to be there.
I have two tickets I can't use for Friday - going to visit my daughter in Boston - need to sell tomorrow! Let me know if you are interested. Face value - Row B mezz - which is where I was to
