Once Tour Closing Dec 16

I wonder if the recent Bus accident in Maine with the A Christmas Carol tour had any bearing on this decision.
A schedule like Once had would need... creativity... when planning the drives between markets, if they were finding themselves needing to rebook or reschedule multiple dates, the financials may not have been there to support all that effort and the risk to Cast and Crew by having the bus driver creatively adjust their driving hours was now more imminent than ever before..
I'm all for Cassie Levy as Rose...while maybe not as inspiring as Stephanie J Block would have been.. IMO
I am most dreading John Cariani as Stuart. I really hope he checks his normal schtick at the door. Stuart is wonder-bread-boring and dry, not manic and schticky, which is how Cariani always comes across to me.
My take is that Cher is still touring, so why go see (very good) impersonations on Broadway when you can still go see the real deal...? Tina Turner isn't touring or performing any longer, so her brand has entered the nostalgia market... and with Adrienne Warren giving the sensational performance she is as Tina, they are focusing on bringing fans back to celebrate her golden age in the industry while Cher fans would rather spend their money seeing Cher Live before she stops touring, rather

If it isn't-- Well, Mamma Mia made the move to the Broadhurst from the Winter Garden.. It would be a decent move for Beetlejuice/the Shuberts when Music Man is ready to load into the Winter Garden late next summer/early fall...
I know Beetlejuice will need to do some scenic/staging adjustments to fit in a smaller space, but so far they have been able to keep steady at/over $1M/week, if they keep those numbers up, a move to the B
Thanks for all the additional details, Jakeevan942.. It really is incredible what a productions Traveling Crew is able to do (and generally very safely..) in just a few days, AND with a sometimes wide range of abilities in the local crew available.
You are not technically wrong that a show has 2 sets, but they are not full sets.
The very big shows with complicated Turntables or Automation will have 2 'Decks' or the base of the set where the turntable and automation is and the rest of the set is built upon.
This 'Deck' is installed by a shows 'advance' crew, usually the week/weekend/Monday before a show opens in a market. For example, Deck A would be installed in Denver while a show finished its
In today's Rialto Chatter, Riedel mentions that both To Kill A Mockingbird and Beetlejuice are in preliminary negotiations to move to different Shubert houses.. Where do we think they may land?
I'd imagine both will want to head into an 1100 seat house. Could Mockingbird go to the Belasco to make room for the ALW Cinderella at the Shubert? Will Beetlejuice get out of the Winter Garden for the Music Man revival by following Mamma Mia's trajectory and
Exactly.. and with the recent return of the Hudson, anything seems possible. Hopefully if this all ends up ringing true, the Ambassador Group will scoop it up to give them a large musical house to utilize while the Lyric is tied up with Harry Potter. I'd rather it go to ATG or Jujamcyn rather than the Shuberts or Nederlanders, but without the Church vacating, we wait.
I wonder if the church could reconfigure the Playstation/Best Buy Theatre space opening up into a higher
Singing is, again, efficient. And those tight fitting skinny jeans on some of the men are a bit much. Fyedke's gymmed-out body is a bit distracting for the time period.
Guess this is being picky, but I couldn't warm up to much of this. The Yiddish angle is admirable, but I really missed the clever lines and poetry in the lyrics."
The gymmed-out body has become a major issue for Broadway
I find the Valentina/Doc switch to be most intriguing.
Having just seen a major regional houses' production of WSS, if Valentina is filling the same role as Doc, Tony's protector and the owner of the Drug Store where the Jets are allowed but the Sharks are not, the new angle of the scenes surrounding Anita's assault should be VERY compelling. Really excited to see how this movie ends up playing.
Since the Grosses were sponsored by The Book of Mormon, I looked a little closer at their grosses lately. Not that the show is in any imminent danger right now, obviously, but I noticed an interesting trend in their grosses year to year.
It is now more than halfway through 2019 and the only few weeks to expect higher-than-normal numbers are during the Nov/Dec holidays..
From 2017 to 2018 the show only lost about 2.75% of its Yearly Average Gross Potential, (this, after

This board's determination to **** on and completely shut down any legitimacy of Be More Chill as a show is baffling to me. There is zero need to fuel this fire, and continuously beat the show while it is down.
Why this board refuses to accept the younger audience and fanbase of Be More Chill, but act exactly as immaturely and ridi
Tegan Summer Productions tried to make the Marilyn Monroe musical at Paris work, and there may be some good material there, but a 90 minute fast forward through the life of Marilyn on the strip wasn't the place to spend the money.
I'd think something like Moulin Rouge would do well. I was also in the apparent minority that thought Spiderman could actually work as a LV sit down.. there is Family Vacation money being left on the table in Vegas...I personally don't under
Wow, If Moulin Rouge can keep those numbers up they are looking at starting their run at almost $2.5M per week in the grosses. Impressive it is happening this early on, even for such a well known brand.

Two reactions. First, an aspiration does not equate to a plan. Second, with the possible exception of a volunteerusher, "an ensemble member" is probably the worst source for anything (other than their next call time). I don't mean that disrespectfully, but do you seriously think that actual
