Patti. Though in the revival I saw Jessica Lea Patty go on and she blew the entire role out of the water-quite impressive. Her New Argentina was very, very strong.
Mostly recently, Billy Bustamante blew me away in Saigon as the Engineer. What an incredible performance-he commanded the show in a way I had not seen from a leading man in some time. Also the Kim alt. Lianah was on and she was phenomenal.
Shoba as Natasha
Jessica Vosk as Golde
Jared Gertner when he was the Cunningham standby
J. Harrison Ghee when he was the Lola cover on tour...knew they would bump him to lead on Broadway at some point.
Just got back from the show tonight. It was super, super fun. As an experience alone I loved it, but when looking at it technically I would give it a 7/10.
There are some great moments and BRILLIANT direction and choreography, but the whole trajectory of the show is a little lost story and character-wise. With more solidified songs for Cady and Regina, this can be fixed. Regina needs a big song near the top of Act One to establish her power and the rest
Bumping this because I am in need of something truly hilarious, laugh out loud funny to use. Not just a chuckle-to-yourself kind of song, but something even irreverent or whatever. Open to songs from shows or stand alone new MT songs. Thank you!

James Weissenbach was replaced by Jim Walton, yes. Jim was playing Jerome the lawyer but wasn't covering Franklin, though, David Cady was. Guess the producers just had a hunch Jim could do it.
I feel like Jeremy Davis, Jim Borstleman, Samantha Sturm, and Betsy Struxness are almost always on the boards. Max Clayton seems to be a more recent favorite and has been working nonstop.
When I saw King and I in Boston, they started at exactly 7:30 and the house wasn't even a third full. People were flowing in until 30 minutes into the show as well. I am shocked they didn't hold he curtain for whatever circumstance. In one aspect I was glad I got there early, in another I couldn't see anything because people were standing up getting into seats in the rows ahead of me. Makes me wonder if they're under a strict time limit with the kids on

Choreography is basically a non-entity in this. There are some dance numbers: The Coronation B

Jessica Lea Patty as Eva Peron, Josh Kobak St. Jinmy, Michael Luwoye as Aaron Burr, Jared Gertner when he was the Cunningham standby, and Bryan Fenkart in Memphis just off the top of my head.
