Waitress new cast  Feb 14 2018, 01:33:40 AM

Just went to the website and noticed the tour cast isn't listed...weird, no?

Shows You Grew to Dislike After Being Involved With a Production of It?  Feb 12 2018, 01:24:42 PM

Rent and Hair.

Who Sang The "A New Argentina" High Notes The Best? (E5-G5)  Feb 1 2018, 01:21:25 AM

Patti.  Though in the revival I saw Jessica Lea Patty go on and she blew the entire role out of the water-quite impressive.  Her New Argentina was very, very strong.

Best understudy you've ever seen?  Jan 15 2018, 08:29:03 PM

Mostly recently, Billy Bustamante blew me away in Saigon as the Engineer.  What an incredible performance-he commanded the show in a way I had not seen from a leading man in some time.  Also the Kim alt. Lianah was on and she was phenomenal.

Shoba as Natasha

Jessica Vosk as Golde

Jared Gertner when he was the Cunningham standby

J. Harrison Ghee when he was the Lola cover on tour...knew they would bump him to lead on Broadway at some point.

Mean Girls @ The National in DC - Reactions  Nov 23 2017, 01:02:22 AM

Just got back from the show tonight.  It was super, super fun.  As an experience alone I loved it, but when looking at it technically I would give it a 7/10.

There are some great moments and BRILLIANT direction and choreography, but the whole trajectory of the show is a little lost story and character-wise.  With more solidified songs for Cady and Regina, this can be fixed.  Regina needs a big song near the top of Act One to establish her power and the rest

HIlarious Male Songs?  Nov 2 2017, 11:46:48 PM

Bumping this because I am in need of something truly hilarious, laugh out loud funny to use.  Not just a chuckle-to-yourself kind of song, but something even irreverent or whatever.  Open to songs from shows or stand alone new MT songs.  Thank you!

Awesome, thank you!

Thanks for the review, catmandoo! Any chance you could post the understudy list? Hoping Grace Stockdale is covering Jenna...she would be phenomenal.

Actors being fired / replaced  Oct 10 2017, 01:56:30 AM

James Weissenbach was replaced by Jim Walton, yes.  Jim was playing Jerome the lawyer but wasn't covering Franklin, though, David Cady was.  Guess the producers just had a hunch Jim could do it.

Cats cast  Sep 26 2017, 08:36:10 PM

Looks like almost a third of the cast of Cats is leaving this weekend...anyone know who is coming in to replace?

'CATS' seating (lottery and TDF)  Sep 18 2017, 12:07:15 AM

Not sure about TDF, but lottery is truly random.  Could be perfect center orchestra or mezz seats, could be the last seat in the rear mezz.

Famous ensemble members  Sep 6 2017, 11:05:18 PM

I feel like Jeremy Davis, Jim Borstleman, Samantha Sturm, and Betsy Struxness are almost always on the boards.  Max Clayton seems to be a more recent favorite and has been working nonstop.

Oh my god Maia is amazing...time to finally see Waitress.

Mike Pence at The King and I tonight  Aug 20 2017, 11:13:47 PM

When I saw King and I in Boston, they started at exactly 7:30 and the house wasn't even a third full.  People were flowing in until 30 minutes into the show as well.  I am shocked they didn't hold he curtain for whatever circumstance.  In one aspect I was glad I got there early, in another I couldn't see anything because people were standing up getting into seats in the rows ahead of me.  Makes me wonder if they're under a strict time limit with the kids on

Choreography is basically a non-entity in this. There are some dance numbers: The Coronation B

Will definitely be holding out to see Alyssa and Aisha on. Funny how the standby's are more exciting choices than the leads....

Who is in the Bullet track in this production?

Who was the best understudy you have ever seen!  Mar 16 2017, 10:28:11 PM

Jessica Lea Patty as Eva Peron, Josh Kobak St. Jinmy, Michael Luwoye as Aaron Burr, Jared Gertner when he was the Cunningham standby, and Bryan Fenkart in Memphis just off the top of my head.
