wow VotePeron, you really hated War Paint didn't you. And if one of them is going to be snubbed, which I don't believe will happen, it's going to be Patti. Christine Ebersole is giving the stronger performance.
Well we still have to wait for Bandstand reviews as well. Denee Benton shouldn't get in either. It should be Annaeligh, Laura, Bette, Patti, and Christine.
We also can't forget Phillipa Soo, although there's no doubt bad reviews are going to hurt Altomare, Soo, and even Noblezada. I think Benton and Osnes get in.
Adam Feldman is such a softy. He's worse than Isherwood.
As Anastasia piles discovery upon discovery, the happiest surprise is how consistently good the musical turns out to be. Smartly adapted by Terrence McNally from the 1997 animated film and the 1956 Ingrid Bergman movie-with Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens impressively expanding their score from the former-Anastasia is a sweeping adventure, romance and historical epic whose fine craftsmanship will satisfy musical-theater fans
"Newspapers have to go in a different direction, and I actually don't want to go in that direction. I hope I'm still going to be able to do reviewing, but I don't know. I'm not hopping to another job, for first time in my life. I don't have a plan. But I want to do more satisfying writing."
He actually liked the scaled down set. Completely at odds with what everybody else on this board is saying. The whole production just looks tacky to me. His description of Johnny Depp's Wonka is 100% accurate. Mix of Michael Jackson and Anna Wintour.
