This movie musical will happen! I wish some of you would stop trying to tell them to stop trying to make it. I will tell you why this will be made. Broadway is closed. Who knows when it will open. I know what you might say..Its suppose to open Fall 2021...
However, I think Movie Musicals will be being made quicker now that Broadway is closed. Movie Theaters will open sooner than a Live Theater will, said by true.. I personally miss the live experience..but I would settle for a movie mu

Or they can do what Diana doing and record the show, and cast recording and find a streaming service to show it
No one know what Spring 2021 will look like so everyone chill...
Tv shows and movies have gone one let Broadway do the same but in a new way ... time to think outside the box

The UK put a Report saying that musicals should not si g when they return to the stage...
I find this puzzling
Musicals you have to sing if you dont its called a play
One solution maybe record the album and use as a play back???

Since Hollywood is reportedly trying to do movies or find a way to do movies in this crazy time does anyone thing maybe doing movie musicals more might help feel the void of Broadway, this includes plays...

Broadway league president said in an article she hopes Broadway opens this fall but she think realistically it might be January or Spring 2021
My concern is not so much the shows but the actors and workers who are not being paid or getting small sums for a little while through unemployment
On the show side majority of the shows probably will have to cancel or move to 2021. Shows like Mrs Doubtfire I dont see moving on if they have to wait so long
I wish cast could just put out

I was stating that what people think “ can not open Broadway til there is a vaccine”
I think Broadway is going to have to down size on how many are allowed in the show
Cut back shows to 3 to 4 a week

Everyone needs to chill!!!
We are all worried about getting the virus... and we can’t open Broadway til there is a vaccine, come on everyone
Broadway will open either by September or Later but not much later....
I do not believe they will postpone nor cancel it...,might open to smaller audiences but I think they will open ...
My personal belief is we can not be closed til a vaccine is available there is no way ... if everyone follows guidelines we should be fine , disagree

Phantom did not bomb as a movie ... it didn’t do as well as they hoped but it did but bomb
Patti Lupone won’t do the role and thanks heaven!!! Glenn is so much better ...

First, My personal view is just that my Personal View....You do not have to agree with it, but I have my right to put it out there...I am a lover of musicals, stage and film and I can put I like.... We can debate on the show or shows but no one view is the only view on this forum.
I think Universal will be the one who decides if the musical will be made in 2021...They own major shares on the show...they own the rights..Do I think it will be 2021....not a chance! Something will ha

Yes that is the interview with Elaine Paige...
My personal view is that they will start in January. They have pushed many musical movies through at the last minute. Casting will follow once they announce when they are to start filming.
Look at West Side Story and In the Heights....which I believe both will be huge hits.
I think Universal will try to keep 2021 so they can be a contender for the award season, and if they do it right like Chicago did they can win some or a l

Just heard a interview with Stephen Schwartz who said the movie is coming but not sure when. I know Universal has posted it will be December 2021, and they own the rights to the property. With Cats being a complete failure, I don't think it will happen in 2021. Every interview Schwartz keeps say they are working on the script, they are working on the script.....
Just want to know thoughts on this. I would add if they are serious about 2021 they would announce casting this summer or
