Going Home is a story of immigration in reverse. That of a man who wants to leave Europe by any means rather than integrate. By chance, he finds himself in Ethiopia. There he will want to make a living, to find a family, a place to invest it feels in agreement with himself. But it will be caught by the system and its past resurfaces: is made in Europe. This modern fable inspired by real events takes us to the heart of the human at the center of the burning issues we face the news! Vincent Hennebicq bringing with intelligence, lucidity but also with warmth this text and its staging invites us to lend an ear to listen to others but to question ourselves on our values, on brotherhood, solidarity we engrave on our public buildings but disappear from our hearts, our lives. Far from being preachy or maudlin, Going home is a breath of fresh air for each viewer. This positive dynamic is enhanced by the staging that revolves around Dorcy Rugamba, fabulous actor. The technical effects, live musicians, video projections reinforce the impact of words and contribute to an unforgettable theatrical moment. The Bertrix Cultural Centre works alongside the National Theatre to promote intercultural exchange and invites viewers to invest in a single action but oh so symbolic. As we started the show with "Dad is traveling", we enable each viewer free to invite someone from another community. An acquaintance, a relative comes from a neighbor or more distant countries? Feel free to invite to this free show. An opportunity that is valid in both directions because if you are Italian, Greek, Moroccan, Turkish, ... you can also invite an acquaintance this evening.
